And I just want to be a reminder: Just because we have stressful thoughts doesn’t mean we have to just stay there! We can CHOOSE to call bullshit on those thoughts every single time. And CHOOSE a thought that is more high vibration. And when you’re living that high vibe life, you don’t need that energy boost. We love to make up juicy stories in our minds that bring all sorts of suffering and limitation. But we can just as easily use that mental energy to make up stories that bring us peace and empowerment. The power of choice is something we get to practice all day long. Keep choosing not to believe your stressful thoughts (you have your clutch go-to’s! Money, work, relationships...) and replace it with a positive (gratitude is a great place to start!) and watch your entire mindset change into a new person. We love how this home turned out with all of the angled and rounded walls on the entire home. My surveyor had to come out a few times on this one during the concrete forming stage just to make sure it was perfectly laid out. Homes like this with all of the different angled walls can can be very challenging to do from start to finish. 1. Believe in yourself. You can do this. 2.Tell your friends and get them on board. Doing this together can make it easier. 3.Change your routine. Make sure you do different things. This will also help with cravings and triggers. 4.Plan alternative drinks, sparkling water with lemon, flavoured tonics or green juices and my favourite - herbal teas. 4.Have some early nights and start a new box set or read a sober quick lit. I will be recommending some during this month. 5.Avoid triggers. Meet friends for coffee and a slab of cake rather than go to the pub. Avoid situations that might include alcohol. 6.Acknowledge why you are doing this. Whether it’s for health reasons or you want to take a break you are definitely doing this for a reason so keep reminding yourself. 🙏🏻 7.Journal. Write your daily thoughts and feelings down and each night take a couple of minutes to remind yourself of how far you have come. 8.Save the money you would normally spend on alcohol and treat yourself at the end of the month. 😊 9.Exercise. Going for a long walk, jog or bike ride will raise your endorphins which will give you a positive natural high and help to boost your mood. 10. Remind yourself daily why you are doing it. Your liver, brain and mental health with thank you. Believe in yourself and think how great you will feel at the end of it. You might even decide to carry on! You have to look at discomfort as a positive- I’m getting my results right now. It’s just like lifting weights or getting faster at running. If you’re not willing to get super freaking uncomfortable, you won’t improve. Not sexy? Not fun? This doesn’t “motivate” you? Good. Because all those “fun” and exciting strategies that get you all excited are why you haven’t gotten there. Fat loss is boring, uneventful, and honestly pretty damn sucky. Success doesn’t come in a pill, in a product, or in the perfect program. It comes in your willingness to grow up and change your patterns, ESPECIALLY when you don’t feel like it anymore, and sit through the discomfort. Learn how to coach yourself through discomfort. You need mindset training more than anything. That’s why you don’t get to work with me unless you will do mindset work. It really is pretty damn simple. We overcomplicate the crap out of this thing. You want the truth? This is it. UPDATE ON EHS RELAUNCH PLAN With Alberta now in stage one of the relaunch plan, we wanted to provide an update on when you can expect EHS to relaunch more of our programs and services. During this time, it is vital that we continue to keep our staff healthy so that we can be here for the animals. This is why we will be taking a thoughtful and measured approach to our staged relaunch, with staff health and safety, animal welfare, and community health guiding every decision. Our relaunch stages will be coordinated in line with the Government of Alberta’s strategy, and you can expect to see changes in our programs and services beginning approximately two weeks after each new provincial stage is reached. This will give us the necessary time to ensure we have the staffing, equipment, policies, procedures and training in place to optimally serve both people and pets while adhering to our guiding principles. This means we will be entering our own stage one for the beginning of June. This will include re-opening our adoptions through a modified, appointment-based process and launching other services virtually. We will continue to limit the access to our shelter, again in an effort to keep our staff and the community healthy. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we move through these stages with care so that we can ensure we remain here for the animals. To our insanely patient Moxi Roller Skate Customers: Our wonderful owners, along with the owner of Fritzys Roller Skate Shop, traveled to Redwing MN to get a better understanding of production of not only Moxi Roller Skates but the remainder of the Riedell family of brands. First off, we would like to thank Riedell’s owners and every single employee that walked us through everything from production, availability, order entry, shipping, attaching, etc. Without this information to gain understanding we would not be able to supply you with the info we have today. Riedell wants everyone to know first and foremost that this is no longer a COVID related issue, the supply issues come from the overwhelming demand of Moxi products alongside their other brands that they produce. What we learned is as follows: There are over 30+ processes, with many raw materials that go into manufacturing one pair of Moxi boots. Over the last few months Riedell has ran into supply issues for small parts such as hook eyelets, thread, backing material, etc. This has and will continue to push back lead times as the demand for products supersedes the supply chain. Riedell is also having a hard time hiring people for positions in manufacturing, attaching etc. as Redwing has a less than 1% unemployment rate. On a positive note, Riedell’s secondary manufacturing facility is starting to churn out Moxi boots that look absolutely amazing! We were able to see a shipment firsthand. In the coming weeks this facility will also assist with attaching as well, however, this causes a headache on its own as materials such as cushions, plates, wheels, all have to be shipped to said location. There are so many logistical topics that are being tackled that right now it may seem that there is no end in sight, but once both places are fully operational that turn around will get back to that 4-6 week lead time Riedell is known for. With that being said, we were told that orders placed on the July 15th shipment will be fully shipped and completed by next week.
