The photo that started it all....well not completely. BUT this one shot helped really get the shop off the ground back in 2014. Its crazy to think Ive been in business over 6 years!!! I started small, not really thinking about owning a business. I just thought making dog beds would be a fun hobby as I had recently gotten my first setter, Finn who also happened to shred her beds with wild abandon....⠀ ⠀ I was still pretty broke after graduate school so I thought I might be able to help fund my new hobby with Etsy. I listed a few beds complete with terrible photos and didnt sell a thing for months. Then one day, I got this cha-ching noise on my phone and almost fell out of my chair. I had a sale! That single sale was such a cool experience and so gratifying that someone actually wanted something I MADE. It wasnt about the money so much as it provided me a much-needed creative outlet that I could sustainably fund without going into debt. I kept making beds and soon added leashes and things just kept on trucking along! And down the rabbit hole I went.⠀ ⠀ Six years later, I cant believe its come this far and Ive loved every minute of it. Its been a hugely gratifying experience. Ive gained confidence, learned how to build a business from the ground up, report my quarterly taxes (bleh), and how to build a website (plus a billion other things that go into owning a business). This shop has been a labor of love and your support has truly gotten me through some tough times emotionally. Ive met some incredible people and dogs 😊 and made so many new friends along the way.⠀ ⠀ Thank you all for supporting this handmade biz and putting your trust in me to create awesome products for your pets.
