Subitizing Practice If you have paper and sticky notes at home, you can create this simple learning activity. On a large sheet of paper I drew some squares and then I drew dots on each of them. Then on some sticky notes I wrote numbers 1-10. I taped the paper on the wall so kids could work on a vertical surface. They had to match the number to the corresponding square. Here’s two things you might not know: ⭐️Subitizing is the ability to recognize a small group of objects without counting. It’s a very useful skill that will help them in Math. ⭐️Vertical surfaces improve children’s ability to naturally cross the midline of their body because they dominant hand has to reach all of the spaces of the surface.
