A ideia é desmistificar esses medicamentos, informando sobre seu uso também dentro da medicina. . Esse primeiro fala à respeito da oxandrolona em pacientes com HIV e perda de peso. Os autores recrutaram homens com HIV e perda de peso significativa por causa da doença, o que aumenta o potencial risco de complicações. . Os voluntários foram divididos em 4 grupos. Um grupo placebo, um que recebeu 20 mg de oxandrolona por dia, outro que recebeu 40 mg de oxandrolona por dia e um quarto grupo que recebeu 80 mg de oxandrolona por dia, durante 12 semanas. Após essa fase, todos os voluntários receberam 20 mg de oxandrolona por dia por mais 12 semanas (estudo placebo controlado, randomizado, duplo cego). . Os autores notaram que os indivíduos que receberam a oxandrolona (20, 40 e 80 mg) tiveram importante aumento de peso ao final das 12 semanas. A contagem de linfócitos CD4 não foi afetada durante o estudo, mostrando segurança do medicamento e doses nessa população. . Houve elevação discreta da creatinina, TGO e TGP (dose dependente) e do LDL colesterol. Houve redução do HDL colesterol, dos níveis de testosterona total, LH , FSH. . Complete genome of the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus. Typewriter, paper. 7 pages. 29,903 characters. • This took me over a week to complete; having split the characters into seven pages I averaged a page a day, working on it for an hour or two at a time. • I was initially drawn to the idea of doing this as a way to explore my love for repeating patterns, in order to see what other patterns they might reveal, and as a way to pick apart and potentially understand this thing thats causing such unprecedented disruption, confusion and sadness in the world. The letters themselves are harmless; the virus they contain the malevolent agent, and the social upheaval surrounding it being a much farther reaching, deeper and more subtle sting, along with a surge of positive communal action and a unplanned moment of rest and reflection for much of the world. • I found the visual patterns within the text to be very faint, with the ink densities of each letter being almost the same, meaning theres a visual uniformity to the piece. However, you blur your eyes, I feel that what patterns are there perhaps reflect that of the DNA double helix itself, with graceful curves running faintly down the text. The result, in this format, I feel is fitting to the subject matter; a dumb block, a monolith, a code containing the thing that we must conquer, both medically and socially. • The project became a way to focus each day, to have something to achieve. A way to centre myself. And as I became more familiar with the letters, their groupings and the beat of their repetition, I began falling into a state of deep focus when typing, becoming more and more able to type from my reference material with confidence. The more concentrated and relaxed I became, the more meditative my state, in which I recognised moments of wandering thought as the times when I would make a mistake, and refocus in order to continue. So many spawning staghorn corals!! 🙌 (Text adapted from @rescueareef) After multiple nights on the reef and in the @rescueareef underwater nursery last week, we are so thrilled to share that we were able to collect spawn from a total of 15+ staghorn coral parent genotypes with 85-90% fertilization success! This included outplants on the reef as well as larger colonies on coral trees in the nursery. This was the first time our team had watched for spawning in our restored corals, and what we saw far exceeded our expectations! 🎉 The coral larvae are now beginning to develop and settle in @secore_coral‘s Coral Rearing In-Situ Basins (CRIBs) at @frostscience. They will grow here until they are juveniles, ready for re-introduction to local reefs! Podemos intubar com o animal em decúbito lateral, e o modo mais fácil de intubar sem auíxilio de outra pessoa, é no decúbito dorsal (como na primeira foto!). . Então a dica de hoje é: treinem a intubação em outras posições, saiam da zona de conforto e treinem também os colegas que trabalham com você! VITAL PULP THERAPY because It’s not all about anteriors in real life dentistry !!! Big decay on tooth 17, no pain, sensitivity test is normal. Partial removal failed. I went for full pulpotomy and direct pulp capping with bioceramics (total fill cement and total fill bc putty fast set) and direct composite as long term restorative treatment. To me, premixed putty bioceramics take the huge advantage that it can be drilled with no setting time. So much faster than MTA or Biodentine. More expensive also !!! But time is even more...sorry for the pixels, screenshot from my screen. Too excited to wait and postprod the video ! Very happy with my new video set !
