The “degree of hype” can be a little difficult to establish, but using a rating system similar to RPE may be helpful. — Lifting the same weight while more fatigued is an under-appreciated example of getting stronger. This can be represented in a singular workout (increasing the weight on squats each week and still deadlifting the same weight immediately after) or within a particular block/cycle. — There are probably tons of different examples, but the point here is to illustrate that adding weight to the bar isn’t the only indication that you’re getting stronger.
