Dear International Student, Earlier today, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement rescinded last weeks guidance modifying temporary exceptions to online courses. This reverts the rules governing F-1 students back to ICE Guidance issued in March 2020. The March guidance allows students continuing in their program to remain in Active status in SEVIS if they participate in all online course work, whether they are in the United states or overseas. It does not apply to new or initial students who are outside the United States. While this will be relieving news to many students, please be aware there still remains the possibility of the government re-issuing more restrictive guidance in the future. Students should prepare for the likelihood that in-person or hybrid courses will be required in the future, especially when the COVID-19 pandemic improves. As such, students should continue to remain informed by checking your SacLink email regularly for updates from IPGE, and directing questions to your ISSS advisor as they arise. We understand this past week has caused a tremendous amount of stress during an already challenging time, and we want to thank you for your understanding, patience, and perseverance. We hope you look forward to the upcoming academic year, and we look forward to continuing supporting your academic journey at Sac State. Today City Attorney Herrera filed civil lawsuits against 28 known drug dealers in the Tenderloin to combat the open-air drug dealing that is plaguing the neighborhood. San Francisco is experiencing an opioid epidemic, and this year weve already had 81 drug overdose deaths in the Tenderloin alone. The injunctions filed today target specific dealers who come from around the Bay Area to sell hard drugs like cocaine, fentanyl and heroin to San Francisco residents. The lawsuits would prohibit them from entering the Tenderloin. Violations would have civil and criminal consequences. While this step is not a silver bullet to fix this problem entirely, it gives law enforcement officers another tool to keep Tenderloin residents safe. Kussmaul’s sign reflects conditions where there is RV dysfunction, impaired RV filling and ⬆️ RA pressure 📌Kussmaul’s sign is classically associated with constrictive pericarditis. 2️⃣Differences between construction and restriction on echo: ➡️In restriction we do not have intrathoracic-intracardiac disassociation, no exaggerated interventricular dependence, no respirophasic septal shift or variation across the AV valves, hepatic vein flow reversal is more prominent in inspiration, annular tissue velocity (e’) is significantly ⬇️ ✅⬆️myocardial thickness in restriction and ⬆️pericardial thickness/calcification in constriction. ✅estimated PASP tend to be ⬆️(55-60 mmHg) in restrictive CM and are often normal in constriction. 3️⃣Indications for mitral valve surgery in patients with severe chronic MR? YUNGAYINO.CL Gendarmería Hace Llamado a Eliminar Antecedentes Penales Ñuble, septiembre 2020: A todas la personas que hayan cumplido condena se informa que se encuentra vigente la atención para que puedan eliminar antecedentes, manteniendo todos los resguardos necesarios que están establecidos por las autoridades de salud. El director regional de Gendarmería en Ñuble, coronel Gonzalo Hermosilla, hizo un llamado a todas las personas que han cumplido condena en los penales de la región a iniciar el proceso de eliminación de antecedentes penales. El trámite detallado en el decreto ley 409, es una de las herramientas jurídicas más antiguas con la que cuenta nuestra legislación, que permite que las personas privadas de libertad, o sometidas a algún tipo de condena en el medio libre, puedan reinsertarse a la sociedad positivamente. “Invitamos a las personas que han cumplido alguna condena, a iniciar el control voluntario y gratuito de eliminación de antecedentes y que una vez iniciado el trámite, inmediatamente se omiten los antecedentes penales de su certificado de antecedentes, de modo que éste aparece sin anotaciones prontuariales para solicitar un trabajo. Una vez cumplido el tiempo requerido, la persona puede eliminar definitivamente los antecedentes penales de su extracto de filiación”, señaló el coronel Hermosilla. Agregó que “mediante la firma mensual en un libro de registro por un plazo de entre 2 y 5 años, les permitirá reintegrarse a la sociedad positivamente, trámite que la región de Ñuble, lo ejecuta el Centro de Reinserción Social de Chillán y a las unidades penales de las comunas de San Carlos, Quirihue, Bulnes y Yungay”, señaló. La eliminación de antecedentes, hace 88 años, ha permitido que las personas dignifiquen su libertad y en la actualidad, hay 838 usuarios que se encuentran en proceso de eliminación de antecedentes, de ellos, un 92% corresponde a hombres y un 8% a mujeres. Columbus set the stage for chattel-slavery and contemporary racial capitalism in the US and beyond thru the calculated genocide and enslavement of Indigenous peoples. Columbus expropriated Indigenous land and trafficked Indigenous slaves for profit into European “markets”. This became the blueprint for the violent dispossession of African peoples and the transatlantic slave trade. Upholding the legacy of Columbus and referring to him as a “hero” is reverence for white supremacy and imperialism. It is a flagrant snub to the dignity of Black and Indigenous community members, an affront to all ancestors harmed by the settler-colonial project. Throughout US history, Columbus has been invoked by Italian-Americans as an icon of “hope”, “bravery”, and “perseverance” – immigrants often espousing his conquests in attempts to effectively assimilate into whiteness (and distance themselves from Blackness). The G.D.D.D. was the largest group of #antifascist women in Italy (1943-45), with around 70,000 members. Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) Components When you diet and lose weight there are compensatory mechanisms that occur in the body to resist further weight loss. The magnitude and rate of weight loss will determine the extent of these compensations. These compensations have a direct influence on the “calories out” side of the energy balance equation, also referred to as total daily energy expenditure (TDEE). The figure above lists the four components of TDEE that are reduced as a result of weight loss. The percentages were derived from a review in 2011 (PMID: 21677272) which I discovered from one of my favorite reviews published in 2014 (PMID: 24571926). Basal metabolic rate (BMR) is the largest component of TDEE at 70% and is responsible for providing the required energy to simply keep us alive doing nothing else but breath while laying down. This component can be further classified into resting energy expenditure (REE). Nonresting energy expenditure (NREE) makes up the other 3 components of TDEE. Exercise activity thermogenesis (EAT) is the amount of energy you expend when performing intentional exercise. Thermic effect of food (TEF) is the energy required to digest and process the food you eat. Finally, non exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT) is the larger of the three and is the energy you “burn” when performing spontaneous or unintentional exercise/movement such as fidgeting. This is the hardest component to measure and seems to be the most adaptable to body weight and calorie intake changes. This component is also primarily responsible for metabolic adaptation or decreases in TDEE that occur, making further weight loss more difficult. The only problem is you can’t really modify NEAT, because it’s unintentional. If you purposefully try and increase NEAT it’s simply more EAT. - @jaymeslongstrom on Instagram

Por mas que las picardías típicas que se aprovechan de las nuevas tecnologías, intenten una vez mas llevarse por delante con sus algoritmos caprichosos y prácticos de sus tendenciosos playlist, llenar sus atractivos interfaces digitales de almacenes de alojamiento vacío en gigantescas nubes…..llenandolo con preciosos contenidos de la bendita creación e interpretación humana…. Obviamente muy prolijos , condicionando jurídicamente vil y sutilmente la legalidad de sus obscenas ganancias … curiosamente el ejemplo de Santa Cecilia sigue vigente… Hace unas semanas tuve el honor de estar en Barcelona , en un foro llamado SUMMUS , en un panel discutiendo estos temas tan importantes para la subsistencia de los músicos y sus familias, y me di el placer de haber dejado sin poder dar explicaciones concretas al gerente de contenidos mundiales de youtube, ante la sorpresa de un auditorio muy concurrido de popes de la musica , compañías y sociedades de gestión… Básicamente porque la arbitrariedad de algunos, pertrechados de andamiaje jurídico , marketing y mucho dinero y recursos , no podrán desmoronar al motor álmico que genera ese atributo único que es que la sucesión de sonidos , alturas, texturas, ritmos y matices nos tapicen el alma….. la musica es el arte de combinar las voluntades para dignificar nuestro trabajo … interpretemos el genero musical que sea , en cualquier punto del planeta , nuestro arte es nuestra fuente de vida, , y es el alimento para el alma de nuestra tierra…. Debemos hacer que se respeten nuestros derechos no solamente porque es justo , sino porque si se apagan los intérpretes , se apaga la música….. Santa Cecilia necesitó mas de 1300 años para ser reivindicada…espero que esta vez sea mas rápido …. sin arte no hay cultura, sin cultura no hay identidad, sin identidad……. no somos nada…. ni como país ni como humanidad …. Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a prevalent psychiatric disorder that affects 6.7 percent of American adults with the highest rates in those 18-25 (10.9%).
