Chadwicks presence + rhetoric filled the room with an undeniably regal energy. The impact his mantle as King Tchalla had on the Black collective psyche was so uplifting + positive. He wore the role with honor, like a crown on his head, + everyone in the room regarded him accordingly.⁠ ⁠ Looking back, Chadwick placed a lot of emphasis on the importance of humble beginnings + building an artistic career based on passion + love, rather than income. He talked at length about how he just went for it -- he didn’t make any money for a long time as an actor, + he didn’t care. The love of storytelling drove him to greatness. The thrill of growth + experience was his victory. È tutto incredibilmente vero🧨 🎆Nell’ambito dello Stay Music Festival, che negli ultimi anni ha visto protagonisti tra gli altri i Marlene Kuntz, Ghemon, Coez, presso Piazza Kennedy si svolgerà il concerto dell’anno. Aprirà il concerto Frada. ✏️Franco126, pseudonimo di Federico Bertollini, è un cantautore e rapper italiano. Nato a Roma il 4 luglio 1992, è cresciuto nel quartiere Trastevere della capitale. Grazie alla passione per la musica entra in contatto con un certo Carl Brave. Il feeling tra i due è talmente forte da portarli a uscire dal collettivo d’origine per iniziare un progetto unicamente loro. Nascono così i Carl Brave x Franco126. I loro primi singoli sono Sempre in due e Pellaria, che anticipano l’uscita del primo album, Polaroid, che ottiene un successo straordinario. It’s up to you to use your time wisely. Be around people who value you. Who value your time and effort and energy. Who lift you up, love you and help you grow into a better person. I put this piece in public space to address the lack of responsibility taken by the institution of whiteness to dismantle the social environment that protects it and isolates it from race-based stress. Here are some words from my friend and curator of the project @jessxsnow for @artinadplaces in #NYC: During this global pandemic and national uprising for the movement toward Black Lives and futures, Indigenous Sovereignty, and the Defunding and Abolishing of Pol(ICE) and borders, it is time for LGBTQ+ Black, Indigenous, Immigrant and POC artists to take back the public space that has been dominated by white artists and paid advertisements. The five queer artists included in this series - @heterogeneoushomosexual , @migrantscribble , @kahyangni , @ashlukadraws , and @jessicasabogal - span differing BIPOC identities, and make intersectional and feminist work that is both tender and loving to the communities they are fighting for and interrogative to the violent power structures that stand in their way. This body of work embodies the spirit of the Claudia Jones quote: “A peoples art is the genesis of their freedom.” These posters are brave love letters that speak truth to power. In the ashes of the power structures that failed us, Kah Yangni’s piece reminds us “We Find Safety In Each Other” and Ashley Lukashevsky reminds us of the Assata Shakur chant “We Will Protect One Another.” These artists show that embodying solidarity for each-others differing but connected struggles is a life-long discipline. The decolonial future where police is abolished, and borders have fallen, land is given back, power is returned to queer Black and Indigenous and POC communities, is not only a destination but a process and a practice we all must work toward everyday. Quando vi essa imagem, pensei no tanto que estamos condicionados à uma escuta rasa, apressada e pouco interessada. Não vou demonizar a rede, falando que ela é inteiramente culpada por nossas ações e escolhas. Isso seria ignorar que esse universo é construído por pessoas e para pessoas. . Mas, também acredito que essa mecanização das coisas, atrelada à “falta de tempo” e um turbilhão de conteúdos, notícias, imagens e chamadas de ação, fez a gente não perceber o que verdadeiramente importa. Eu mesma já me peguei várias vezes num papo onde eu só estava esperando o outro terminar sua fala pra que eu pudesse “vomitar” o que estava em minha mente. Sem me ligar muito no que estava sendo partilhado ali. Fiquei pensando nessa fala em eco que estamos conduzindo. Onde passamos stories de 15 segundos, rolamos o feed constantemente, fazemos ativismo com 280 caracteres e não damos sequência à diálogos tão importantes. Quando pensamos em educação e compartilhamento de saberes, isso é ainda mais precioso. A escuta nos coloca no lugar do outro, nos conduz à outras realidades e possibilidades. Nos proporciona conhecimento. First International CYPRUS POSTER TRIENNIAL (CPT) 2019 The international Cyprus Poster Triennial (CPT) is a nonprofit institution that aims to promote and disseminate knowledge and creativity in the field of graphic design, by focusing on the poster as a major medium of visual communication, every three years. It is an initiative by Evripides Zantides, Omiros Panayides, and Savvas Xinaris, professors and practitioners of graphic and visual communication. The exhibition will take place from the 1st until the 31st of July 2019 at NeMe Arts Centre in Limassol. The event is organised by the Semiotic and Visual Communication Research Lab of the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts at the Cyprus University of Technology. The Cyprus Poster Triennial 2019 open call has received 2410 posters from 53 countries. After a double, blind reviewed selection process, only 134 posters were accepted to participate. Our shop was ready to open Spring 2020, and as with most things - that changed after COVID-19. We have all been through our unique challenges since then. 작년 겨울 8일에 걸쳐 2만4천여 관객과 함께했던 KIMDONGRYUL LIVE 2019 공연 실황을 담은 라이브 앨범이 오늘 발매되었습니다!! 선곡과 편곡, 연주와 사운드 퀄리티까지 그 무엇하나 빠지지 않는 정말 훌륭한 작품이라고 생각합니다 많은 성원 부탁드려요^^ Musical Director 김동률 Co-Arranged, Orchestrator & Conducted by 이지원 Drums 박은찬 Guitar 임헌일 Guitar 김동민 Electric Bass 백경진 Piano & Keyboard 정동환 Keyboard 박민우 Percussion 김진환 Back Vocal 노영채, 김미영, 임주현, 정결 Bandoneon 고상지 Contrabass 김유성 Trumpet 조정현 Saxophone 주현우 Trombone 박경건 Violin1 조아라, 노신옥, 이기쁨, 김성아, 백건 Violin2 오주희, 송미경, 이선경, 독고영 Viola 안지원, 김정희, 이건희 Violincello 임은진, 이윤하 Contrabass 곽요한 Flute 김소연 Choir 이민수, 김종서, 오성민, 박종혁, 마한나, 현서진 (for BIG Entertainment) Guest 김정원 #repost @yulmonologue ・・・ “하드는 언제 누구한테 보내드리면 되나요?” 공연이 끝나고 한 달 쯤 뒤였나. 음향감독님의 문자를 보고 나서야, 아 공연 실황을 녹음하셨구나 알게 되었습니다. 워낙 오래 호흡을 맞춰왔기에, 의례 당연한 일인 듯 녹음을 떠 놓으셨던 거죠. 저는 사실, 2015년에 나왔던 라이브 앨범 작업 이후, 더 이상 제 디스코그래피에 라이브 앨범은 없을 거라고 생각해 왔습니다. 제 개인적인 욕심과 팬들을 위해서만 감행하기엔, 요즘 같은 음반 시장에선 여러 가지로 무리가 많은 작업인 데다, 솔직히 엄청 시간과 품이 많이 드는 일이거든요. 그런데 막상, 실황 녹음 하드가 존재한다는 사실을 알게 되자, 그냥 모른 척하기가 쉽지 않더군요. 제가 생각했던 것보다 훨씬 더 지난 공연에 대한 저의 애착이 컸었나 봅니다. 이 작업을 시작하면 한 반년 동안은 죽도록 고생하겠지만, 그래도 이 순간을 남길 수 있다면, 함께했던 밴드들 스텝들 그리고 공연에 와주셨던 관객들, 그리고 안타깝게 함께하지 못한 팬들 모두에게 좋은 선물이 되지 않을까 하는 생각도 들었습니다. 그리고 솔직히 제가 너무 듣고 싶었습니다. 회사가 손해 봐도 좋으니 꼭 만들었으면 좋겠다며 힘을 실어주신 대표님, 어시스턴트 엔지니어도 없이 홀로 녹음실을 꾸려가는 상황에서도 어떻게든 해내겠다고, 하고 싶다고 말씀해주신 오성근 기사님, 그리고 이 공연은 무조건 남겨야 한다며 협박에 가깝게 설득해 준 지인들의 성원(?)에 힘입어 고민 끝에 라이브 앨범을 결심하게 되었습니다. ‘아, 내가 또 사서 고생을 시작하는구나….’ 엄청 투덜대면서 말입니다. 그리고 한 달 뒤 그 누구도 예상하지 못했던 ‘코로나 시대’가 시작되었습니다. 지금 와서 돌이켜 보면, 만약 제가 이 앨범 작업을 하지 않았더라면 어떻게 그 시간들을 견딜 수 있었을까 싶습니다. 괜한 일을 벌였나 하는 후회도 잠시, 작업을 하는 내내 되려 제가 위로받았고, 그로 인해 버틸 수 있었던 것 같습니다. 모든 회차의 전곡을 하나씩 꼼꼼히 들으면서, 다시 한 번 밴드들에게 고마운 마음이 들었고, 공연 당시뿐 아니라 공연을 준비하던 시간 내내 함께 고생했던 모든 스텝들의 얼굴을 하나하나 떠올리게 되었습니다. 매회 약 2시간 반씩, 8회 공연을 무사히 그럭저럭 잘 끝낸 제 자신이 기특하기도 했구요. 이제 이런 공연을 언제 다시 할 수 있을지. 아니, 공연이라는 것 자체를 언제 다시 할 수 있을지. 그런 막연한 아쉬움과 안타까움 때문인지 더 절실하고 소중한 시간들이었던 것 같습니다. 어느덧 후반 작업이 시작되고 한 곡 한 곡 마무리가 될 때마다 어찌나 아쉽고 마음이 허하던지요. 마스터링까지 모두 마치고 첫 곡부터 쭉 모니터를 하는데, 드디어 끝났다! 완성했다! 라는 후련함보다, 이제 모든 작업이 끝나버렸구나… 아쉬움이 더 컸던 앨범은 이번이 처음이지 않나 싶습니다. 우리는 지금 전 인류가 거의 처음 겪는 하루하루를 살아내고 있습니다. 모두가 힘들고 각박해진 지금 상황에, 이렇게 음악을 들이미는 것 자체가 과연 괜찮은 건지 내심 작아지기도 합니다. 그렇지만 저는 음악을 하는 사람이니까 음악으로 제 몫을 하는 것이 맞다고 생각하렵니다. 제가 이 작업을 하면서 위로를 받았듯 - @newtypetrumpet on Instagram

9.20.21.22日の3日間新しくなったMIN-NANOのお披露目を行います。ひまさん、たくくん、ささけんくんの皆で池の上Tシャツを作りました。是非あそびにいらしてください。 #池ノ上 「Ikenoue National Frog Park」by MIN-NANO, TAQUERIA and HIMAA Text by Taku Takemura 渋谷駅から井の頭線に乗ってみっつ目が池の上。 その次の駅が下北沢だから池の上あたりでみんなは「次だ」って思っているころ。 ここから下北へ歩いてすぐだし、買い物とか食事とか、なにかあればみんなそっちに行っちゃうんだろうな。実際に池の上には「あなたの店 銀次郎」か「まいばすけっと」しか食料品が買えるところはないし。駅前の通りだってシャッターが閉まりっぱなしなところもある。あとコンビニ以外でチェーン店がない。とにかく下北があるおかげで、ここ池の上はちょっと取り残された感じがある街なんです。駅から歩いて1分、そこにチャリ屋？服屋？「MIN-NANO」がある。お店をやっているゴローちゃんとは共通の友だちを通じて知り合って自転車を直してもらったり、ただおしゃべりをしにいったりしてる。僕もいつのまにか踏切を挟んで反対側に事務所を構えたりして。そしたらある日、メガネ、キャップ、キャンバーのグレーのTシャツというお約束の格好をしたヒマくんが歩いていた。どうやらヒマくんも池の上に住んでいるという。へー、偶然だね。この前、「とんかつ棟田」でお昼を食べようとしたらちょうどヒマくんも昼ご飯だというので一緒にとんかつを食べて。かつを頬張りながら話が盛り上がって一緒にTシャツを作ろうということになった。僕たちも「TAQUERIA」というウェブショップを初めて自分たちでプリントしたTシャツを販売を始めたところ。それならゴローちゃんに相談して「MIN-NANO」で販売しようよ！ということに。数日後「とんかつ棟田」の前を歩いているそこへお昼を食べに来たゴローちゃんと出会う。偶然。この前のTシャツのことを話すと「いいですね」と承諾してくれて。というわけで今回完成したTシャツが「Ikenoue National Frog Park」デザインはもちろんヒマくん。どうやらヒマくんの家の周りにはカエルが住んでいるみたいで毎年時期になるとゲコゲコと顔を出すそう。僕らTAQUERIA はプリントを担当。そしてゴローちゃんのお店で販売。半径280メートル以内で完成したTシャツです。こんな時だし、自分たちの価値観を考え直すのにちょうどいい企画だなと思います。そしてオンラインではなく「MIN-NANO」の実店舗のみでの販売。のんびりした池の上と新しくなった「MIN-NANO」も体験してみてください。 - @minnnanoo on Instagram

On 28-30th of August we are calling for global actions on the streets and online for local spread of covid-19 will be taken into consideration. Today, about 17% of Amazonia has already been deforested. If 20-25% deforestation is exceeded, more than a half of the rainforest will turn into a savannah. This year we saw a huge increase of fires: 6,803 only in July 2020, 28% more than in July 2019, 10,136 fires were reported in the first 10 days of August alone! The EU-Mercosur trade agreement would fuel the destruction of the Amazon. Ratifying it while deforestation is increasing would be a victory for President Bolsonaro and a clear sign that the EU does not care about the rainforest. If European leaders are serious about stopping Amazon deforestation, they must put the EU-Mercosur agreement on ice. Moreover Bolsonaro wants to pass a law which allows deforestation on indigenous land. Land protected by indigenous people has a higher biodiversity than other land in Amazonia. Our latest campaign for @amplifund the charity founded by @gaytimes CEO @tagwarner (in partnership with the LGBTQ+ rights charity, GiveOut) aims to empower the LGBTQ+ community. The work centres around three phrases, ‘it can happen,’ ‘it does happen,’ and ‘it will happen,’ to challenge how we perceive queer livelihoods, and features stories from LGBTQ+ individuals living in Jamaica, Iraq and Armenia. Their words are displayed in a unique and striking fashion with the personal stories mixed in emotions, from inspirational and uplifting to a solemn tone, allowing the audience an exclusive insight into the everyday experiences. #DingYi: The Cross-Style opens last Friday at the Long Museum, Chongqing 🎉🎉🎉 . Under the title of “The Cross-Style”, the exhibition and publication aim to imagine Ding Yis creative system as a set of fonts generated with the cross as its basic element. This not only develops an ever-changing set of fonts, but also constructs a style of art. It consists of an evolving set of rhetoric and grammar and is far more than just an image. Through this imagery, we can also see Ding Yis creation as a kind of longterm writing, using the cross as a typeface, with writing and “repetition” as the form and significance of this new style. .
