Men med det sagt så är det inte synd om mig, jag har några få fantastiska vänner både sedan drygt 10 år tillbaka och en nyfunnen fin vän - och ni vet vilka ni är ❤️ . Men jag har en känsla av att jag inte är ensam att känna såhär och att det kanske, tyvärr, har med mammarollen att göra? Att du och jag kanske inte heller har prioriterat vänskapsrelationer alla gånger? För mig är det tyvärr rätt tydligt att jag, när jag mådde som sämst fick välja bort vänner ett tag och att alla tyvärr inte kvar efter det. 💔 . Känner du igen dig? I’m constantly looking for more creepy recs 😱 • I’m currently reading THE WITCH HUNTER by Max Seeck (thank you @berkleypub for my review copy - this book releases 10/27!) 🔎 THE WITCH HUNTER is a Nordic serial killer thriller that centers around crimes that appear to be inspired by a (fictional) bestselling crime fiction trilogy. 😱 This book is (so far) combining some of the things I love most of all in a thriller: a Nordic setting ✔️ a plot that involves books ✔️ AND a very creepy hint of something involving the occult going on (perfect for Halloween!) ✔️ THE WITCH HUNTER begins with a gruesome crime: the wife of a bestselling crime writer is found murdered in her home, her face frozen in a terrifying smile—one that seems to mimic an element of her husband’s bestselling crime stories. 😱 Readers follow a female detective who finds herself delving into a terrifying web of darkness to solve the crime. 😳 So far this book is very engaging, creepy, and page-turning - I cant wait to see where it goes. 🕵🏻♀️ • Happy Sunday, friends!! 🖤 (& for real if anyone has any scary movies they recommend that are available on Netflix, please let me know - I need recs!!!😂🍿) - @crimebythebook on Instagram

I know I’m supposed to lean in, but sometimes I just want to LIE DOWN. (🎤 @aliwong) On those days, coffee is a 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘳. ☕️ Today may be the official #nationalcoffeeday but in this house, that’s every day! However, I also listen to my body and 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘦𝘹𝘩𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. If Im at that point of burnout, I need to look at my choices holistically, not just inject myself with caffeine to power through. If I want to be 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱, I will depend on my body’s signals, not caffeine. Caffeine related disorders are actually recognized by the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders), including intoxication and withdrawal. Caffeine is a stimulant in the same way alcohol is a depressant - one that can be enjoyed by many people in moderation, but it does not mean they dont have effects on our functioning. I have certainly had those days where I overcaffeinated to the point where I was still tired but also jittery! Not the outcome I was going for. 😬 That being said, I love coffee. I love latte art and foamy macchiatos; they bring 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘫𝘰𝘺 into my life. 🎨 But I know that I cant have coffee after a certain time or there will be consequences, no matter how delicious it is in the moment. As a therapist, I understand the importance of distinguishing between healthy and unhealthy relationships, even in something as seemingly benign as my favorite morning indulgence. 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲, 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀! 🤍 Comment your #1 coffee order, and tag your favorite local coffee artists so we can all feel a little treat yo self joy these days!
