New railings and gate with foundation curb, to match existing at 35 St James’s Square. No.35 was the home of Walter Savage Landor 1846-1852, he was visited by many notable people including Charles Dickens. It is said that Dickens conceived many of his characters during his visits to Bath. The east side of St James square consists of 15 houses, built c1790-1793 designed by the architect John Palmer.
