This changed in the 1890s when a couple of wealthy families of the area, including the Rothschilds, decided to bring it back to its former glory. So we’ll start off coffee cocktail session for #internationalcoffeeday with our good friend @mix.mann with a combination of South American Rum @ronizalco and Italian @moketoespresso and Mexican Coffee @senderocoffee ☕️ The result is super smooth 43% abv rum with notes of apricot, Xmas cake, stone fruit & Demerara with a long finish + a hint of fiery char at the end, and perfect in the mix with a delicious Mexican Coffee and topped up with Moketo Espresso Spirit! . CHOCOLATE, COFFEE AND CAMPARI WALKED INTO A BAR, and had a party in your drink. These three flavors together, have you tried them? All three have deep layers of bitterness, but together, the sweetness from the Campari makes every taste more compelling. At first Im sipping the coffee, next the chocolate, then the Campari kicks in and theyre all having a conversation at once. 🍫 Admittedly, Im a chocoholic, and I know I love coffee in a Boulevardier, but adding in the cacao nib-infused Campari (link in bio under the Campari infusions article) made all the earthiness tie in together and added a bit more bass notes to the cocktail, anchoring it to the bourbon in a way I didnt know it needed. ☕ I might have to make a large batch and age it over a few months to see how the flavor profile and balance changes as the flavors marry in a bottle. 🏰Hluboká Castle 📍Hluboká nad Vltavou, Czech Republic 🇷🇺 Russian language👇🏻 ⠀ In the second half of the 13th century, a Gothic castle was built at the site. During its history, the castle was rebuilt several times. It was first expanded during the Renaissance period, then rebuilt into a Baroque castle at the order of Adam Franz von Schwarzenberg in the beginning of the 18th century. It reached its current appearance during the 19th century, when Johann Adolf II von Schwarzenberg ordered the reconstruction of the castle in the romantic style of Englands Windsor Castle. ⠀ The Schwarzenbergs lived in Hluboká until the end of 1939, when the last owner (Adolph Schwarzenberg) emigrated overseas to escape from the Nazis. The Schwarzenbergs lost all of their Czech property through a special legislative Act, the Lex Schwarzenberg, in 1947. Perfect for these warm Summer nights⠀ .⠀ -1 1/2 oz gin⠀ -1 oz peach simple syrup⠀ -3 oz champagne⠀ - peach slice & sage leaf for garnish⠀ .⠀ To make the peach syrup combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, and 1 peach (sliced) to a saucepan and cook on medium low until the sugar is dissolved and a syrupy consistency is reached. Strain out the peaches. Store in the refrigerator for 3-5 days⠀ .⠀ Cocktail⠀ -to a cocktail shaker add the peach syrup, gin, and ice.
