А у Шунаиды Петровны сегодня день рождения. 10 лет нашей красотке! Расскажу основное про девушку в самом расцвете сил: 1️⃣Она живет у нас 5 лет. До этого она находилась в питомнике и рожала котят на износ, как это часто бывает. Характер у нее для выставок не годится, поэтому ее оставили «на производство». И это ужасная реальность наших дней. А когда после очередного раза что-то пошло не так, ее стерилизовали и списали. Мы нашли ее по объявлению. Я хотела на ДР себе кошечку, но не котенка (тогда еще работала, не было времени воспитывать). Написано было, что ищут кошке новый дом до такого-то. Когда я потом спросила, что за уточнение с датой, ответ был, что иначе усыпили бы, она в питомнике лишний рот. 2️⃣#Скоттишфолд , по паспорту Коко Шанель фон Миладен, родословная до 12. колена, на Вы и шепотом. 3️⃣На кличку Коко Шанель (какой совпадение же!!!) она мне никогда не отзывалась. И так к ней прицепилось имя Шуня. Но она же #ШунаидаПетровна ! Такая осанка и порода! Имя дала в честь моей подруги в Киеве, которую я очень люблю и ценю. Я просто молюсь, чтобы Зинаида Петровна и дальше не была в Инстаграме🙈 4️⃣Шуня вышла на улицу на 6. год жизни. И теперь каждую ночь она там. Ловит мышей, бабочек, мух, комаров – наш трехкилограммовый киллер. 5️⃣Трогать по особому приглашению. Иначе когти и скандал. На руки нельзя ни к кому и никогда. Только силой и на минутку к маме. 6️⃣Обычный фейс-режим «Мимо проходи, чё вылупился». 7️⃣Шуня – декоративная статуэтка. Спит 22 часа в сутки. И при ее энергосберегающем режиме жить она будет лет 30. Ни морщинки, ни жиринки! 8️⃣Манеры королевские. Играть не умеет и не хочет. Мебель и столы для нее не существуют. В туалет ходит к дальним соседям в огород. Эту кошку нельзя соблазнить лакомством, она ест много лет один и тот же корм, но она будет искренне рада тангл тизеру😊 9️⃣Отношения с Бэллой на дистанции. Собака дико ревнует, а кошка ее открыто презирает. Но ни разу не подрались. 1️⃣0️⃣Из Шуниных фото можно лепить мемы, такая у нее смешная и человеческая мимика. When everyone else through us to the curb & we had to sleep in them shelters, When family friends & everyone else didn’t help, Moma O found a way to at least give me energy & make me feel like we would be okay one day. Even after growing up so hard I’m talking shit that would turn your mind upside down & having bad mental illnesses, Drinking for most her life to try to down out that pain until I was 18. She gave that up for me. She trusted me. This woman is a super hero in my eyes. I never forgot them years we had to sleep in those shelters. Even some nights we had to kickit outside under the bridges downtown & she would always say things like “don’t worry son , God is teaching us , we won’t have to struggle forever I promise. When she was surrendered to a local shelter, the previous owners admitted that they kept this little dog outside her whole life and they did not give her any love or care. We can’t imagine how cruel her life had been before she came to us. We would love to provide her all the love and care she was denied, including medical care that she has needed for so long. She is likely a senior, around 8 years old, and suffers from severe arthritis and vision impairment. Panda es una de nuestras ex-territorianas más antiguas, fue de las primeras perras en llegar al refugio, más de 9 años atrás y su historia ha sido extensa. Aunque fue adoptada una primera vez, sus primeros adoptantes la devolvieron, lo cual afectó su salud, tanto emocional como física. Fue hasta el 2014 que Panda conoció a su humano incondicional, la persona que sería su familia para siempre. Cuando Sergio adoptó a Panda, esta se veía triste y su piel estaba en muy malas condiciones, pero solo hicieron falta un par de días en su nuevo hogar para que su aspecto y ánimo cambiaran por completo. Panda ahora tiene más de seis años con su familia y ahora vive la vida plena de una perrita amada. En el último año Pandita ha disminuido su actividad, ahora es más lenta y dormilona, y en las caminatas diarias con su hermano perruno Mel pasa mayoritariamente en los brazos de sus papás. Sin embargo, Panda ama el mar y le encanta mojarse y nadar. Sergio ama a su bebé perruna: “Tenemos una conexión especial. Desde que está conmigo hemos sido inseparables porque yo la llevo a todo lado y ahora que está más vieja espero que me siga haciendo compañía, aunque sea alzada”. Panda es una perrita importante. Ella no lo sabe, pero Panda ha salido en tres campañas de publicidad, en cuatro documentales, prensa y televisión nacional. Fue además una de las caras perrunas del movimiento para la aprobación de la Ley de Protección Animal de Costa Rica, la cual ya lleva vigente casi cuatro años. This past weekend my best friend & soulmate, Kristen, passed on. After rescuing her 4-years ago, frail & unknowingly sick with liver disease, we were told only 1 week after adopting her she’d live for 6 months. As much as her life was a blessing & longer than we ever expected, one of the hardest things to cope with is that it is not the liver disease that got her, but an unexpected/unknown cancerous tumor elsewhere. She was only 6... I know so many of you loved Kristen, & seeing her on IG & YouTube. She was a radiant star! But most of you don’t know what our life with Kristen looked like. Because of her liver disease, she could not be left alone. 24/7 she had a human with her. Christian & I have not left the house in 4 years, without organizing a dog-sitter. When we left town (rarely), we had to organize someone to stay with her that was willing to be there 24 hours a day & never leave. She was fed 4 times per day, with nearly 10 pills per meal. We were strict with her diet, & settled for nothing less than the best. We moved into the very house we live in only a few months after getting her, hoping that having her own private yard would keep her free of stress and extend her life. I suspect that, along with all of our love and care, did so. The biggest challenge for me now as I grieve is figuring out who I am without her. You all know me on screen, but not off. The truth is, I really hated the human I was before I knew Kristen. I was in a dark place, so sad & trapped. She set me free, & somehow, taught me how to be human. We saved each other when no one else could. I am forever grateful for all of her love & lessons, & I am still learning them. I apologize if I’ve shared too much, & I’m sorry I haven’t been on social media in recent days/weeks. As you all know, this year has really been a battle. I need to be alone for a bit, but I will of course be back. We won’t be posting any content again this week, but hopefully we can resume next week on YouTube. It may take me longer on IG, and I appreciate your patience & understanding. If you have a furry love who has helped you learn to love, shower them with everything you have. Quem aqui conheceu ou viu pessoalmente outro gato aventureiro? ________________________________________________ Em todos os meus 27 anos, nunca vi outra pessoa passeando com seu gato 😂 Eu amo que o Instagram conecta tantos de nós que levam nossos gatos em aventuras, bem como o apoio e as comunidades que ele reúne ❤️ Inclusive recentemente organizamos um “encontro de gatos” para os poucos gatos de aventura que existem aqui em SP – e foi bem bacana. Um dos comentários mais frequentes feitos pelas pessoas quando estamos fora é que é a primeira vez que veem alguém passeando com um gato. Adoro apresentar às pessoas um novo conceito e ver suas mentes se abrirem para a ideia de que os gatos podem ser tão aventureiros quanto os cães. Espero que Harley possa ser um grande defensor dos gatos aventureiros aqui no Brasil e em todo o mundo. Onde moramos, andar com um gato na guia é quase desconhecido.
