How do you know when you are finished having babies? For me, I have always wanted two. I never want to be outnumbered by children. I often hear that people simply can’t imagine not having another baby and I definitely don’t relate to that. For some, parting with baby items is a painful process. Personally, I couldn’t get that stuff out of here quick enough. I loved my babies and the endless possibilities that lie ahead. But I never found them particularly interesting. Now, as my youngest and last daughter approaches three, I realise with a gut-wrenching sadness, I will never have another toddler. And for me, that is something worth grieving. While adults will stew on a wrongdoing for days, a toddler can go from absolute despair to unbridled happiness in mere seconds. When they are happy, they insist that everyone around them be happy too. And they are so endearing that their happiness is infectious. A joyful toddler can emit a tidal wave of happiness through a group of strangers. The way they love is so fierce that is overwhelms them. Their perseverance is admirable. They are delightfully unpredictable and contrary. I’ve never been a fan of the “terrible twos” label, largely because I find it inaccurate. Toddlers are perfectly emotional, inquisitive, hilarious, loving and creative and the only thing terrible about it, is that this magical age only lasts for such a short amount of time. 💫 - @common_wild on Instagram

I’m not going to post anything if it doesn’t 𝑓𝑒𝑒𝑙 right, so instead, I decided to pivot. More recently, I’ve been incorporating my own self-audit shadow work practice in moments where I have feelings of doubt, fear, or triggers. I starting asking myself the following question, 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝑰 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮? So when I answered this myself; In this present moment, what I need today that will make me truly happy is to be authentically connected to others and the freedom of feeling like I don’t 𝐻𝐴𝑉𝐸 to do anything by means of 𝐹𝑂𝑅𝐶𝐸. It’s Friday! 🤎 a million thanks you’ s for all your amazing kind wishes for Francesca! She is doing much better this morning and seems to be back to her crazy self 🤪 and as for me: I pressed that reset button in bed and feel on a much more positive note today! 💪🏼 We have to be.... because If you don’t, if you let the negative swamp you, you won’t get out alive! It’s hugely important to remember that feeling failure or something along those lines will make you even stronger for the next hurdle! Being a mum whether it be to 1 or 6 is challenging no matter what! Sometimes it’s like a goodie bag.... you never know what your gonna draw out that day from it! We need to cherish the good times and hold them close but also learn from the hard times. And no matter what BE KIND on yourself! There is no gold medal at the end for who does the best or who gets there the fastest! It’s about learning and just dealing with what comes at you. Listening to negative will also consume you.....DONT BE that person. Realise that each of us are on our very own path choosing the things we want to choose.
