Throw back to when I was testing out this color on my paneling to see if I wanted to go with a warmer color here instead of the bright snowfall white! Clearly this trim color has been giving me issues from the beginning, as now I am certain I am changing the trim color in the kitchen; I want it in the same family as revere pewter but R.P. Is coming out too strong/dark in here with the east facing light, so I am looking at pale oak, edgecomb gray or balboa mist. I am looking for color that pulls out the grout color of our tile instead of the matching the color of our tile so well (although our grout color is considered “white”). In all of my work designing the finish details of the rest of the house, I have settled on a French gray trim and lighter wall color as a “default” look in our house. I used to be concerned about making every room completely different from the next! Now I’m finding myself being more concerned about tying rooms together, and how spaces transition from one room to another. I hope I can do that well, but still give each space its own distinction.
