BUDOVANÁ TRAŤ MÁ SVOU HISTORII I Novým úsekem tramvajové tratě prodlužujeme stávající trať v ulici Na Pankráci ke stanici metra Pankrác. Nově budovaný úsek tramvajové tratě vede přesně v místech historické tramvajové tratě, která byla opuštěna v roce 1974 v důsledku zahájení provozu metra na trase C a prosazování tehdejší koncepce rušení tramvajové dopravy v centru a v oblastech nově obsloužených metrem. 🚋➡️ Pojďme se ale podívat na historii budované tramvajové trati: Tramvaje začaly na Pankrác jezdit před 95 lety díky prodloužení tratě z Nuslí na dnešní náměstí Hrdinů. O 5 let později, 29. května 1930 byla trať prodloužena z náměstí Hrdinů přes Lísek (později nazývaný Budějovické náměstí) až na Kačerov. V roce 1938 byla zprovozněna větev Budějovické náměstí – Ryšánka. Původní tramvajová trať vedla až po autobusové nádraží Pankrác (dnes na jeho místě stojí administrativní komplex Gemini) ulicí 5. května, ale v důsledku stavby II. severojižní magistrály a návazné dálnice D1 byla přeložena na moderní vlastní těleso do rozšířené souběžné ulice Na Pankráci. Ve stejné době byl ze stejných důvodů ukončen i provoz na trati z Budějovického náměstí na Kačerov. Zprovoznění trasy C pražského metra a prosazování koncepce MHD, omezující podíl tramvajové dopravy, znamenal konec tramvají v oblasti Krče, Budějovického náměstí a Pankráce obecně. 🚋➡️ Podívejte se na historické fotografie Lubomíra Kysely. #1 We marched from Sunset Park up 4th Avenue past the 72nd precinct to MDC, the federal prison. #2 If you listen to the video you can hear the prisoners banging on the windows and walls. We went to MDC because Jamel Floyd was killed by guards there on Wednesday. He was due to be released in October after serving 15 years. The prison is known for its inhumane conditions and guards raping women prisoners. Jamel’s family was there and they spoke about him and how they found out about his death on social media. (There is a gofundme for his family). Former inmates also spoke about the conditions inside. This place needs to be shut down.
