Today makes 24 years my Pops stopped drinking alcohol. I’m proud of him for his will power to stay all the way away from something that was so horrible for him in every way. It’s only been five years since the Obergefell ruling ushered in marriage equality for everyone in the US. That’s still so recent that when @david.atlanta.hair and I got married we had to do it in another state—it wasn’t legal in Georgia, where we live and work (and pay taxes). I remember how perfect it felt coming at the end of Pride month and how much the whole community celebrated. We felt invincible.
