SEESOO. Seesoo is a sui generis, eco-friendly boutique hotel, located in Pounta, Paros. The name Seesoo derives from a surreal interpretation of the sound the waves make, made by literary icon James Joyce, in his magnum opus, Ulysses. Inspired by the hotel’s magical ambience as well as its organic and strictly plastic-free mentality, we designed a brand identity that reflects its conceptual core while enriching it with modern design elements. From the logo and signage, all the way to the stationery and the collaterals, we followed a creative path of minimalism and sustainability, employing, among others, recycled papers, environmentally savvy printing techniques and natural materials such as wood, metal and wicker. Our #packagingdesign for @escazuchocolates — Their process is the perfect balance between science and art. To the untrained eye, their creativity is only obvious on their handmade confections, which are decorated by hand using airbrushes, paint splatters, broad strokes, etc. Their bars less so, as the creativity lies within the unique flavor combinations and diligent sourcing that compliment one another. We decided to bring those patterns forward onto the wrappers, resulting in a symphony of colors that play off the straight forward b&w identity system (a nod to the science part of the process). The end product gave each bar a strong personality which makes it easy for regulars to easily identify their favorite, but also created the opportunity for one-off patterns for limited edition runs. - @hungry_studio on Instagram
