And I wonder if you burnt these parts of me, Or if you cherish them like a cup of coffee on a rainy day. A myriad of memories come to me one such day, Of the last day we met: Your eyes a little teary, And hints of annoyance in your smirks. I crossed a line that day, didnt I? You said I started the same old banter, that did us no good. And I asked you to leave - you did. But subtly turned back to see if I was gone too. I wasnt. If Id have known this was the last day, I could hold your hand close to me, As we walked in a sea of people, I would.
