This was taken in Paraguay about a year ago. I was on the back of a motorcycle with an amigo following some friends to do an arroyo (stream) where we were going to do an asado and swim. It was blistering hot but the wind from the ride neutralized the sun and had me gawking at the bright greens and blues that canvassed the untouched landscape. I remember thinking, ‘I have no idea where we’re going but I’m enjoying the hell out of this ride.’ I think that sentiment is especially relevant to what we’re all going through right now. Dia de se doar! Todo último domingo do mês, tem ação do @moradoresderuaeseuscaes e eu sou voluntária da ONG! Aconteceu algo interessante. Um morador de rua me perguntou “você tem cadeirinha de rodas?” - Justo pra mim! - Perguntei a ele pra que é ele contou que uma vizinha da ocupação está com um cachorro que não está andando..! Também vi nos olhos de um senhor que levou seu cachorrinho na carroça, a tristeza de receber uma notícia ruim: seu o animalzinho provavelmente esteja com vírus da cinomose... apesar disso, muitos outros moradores de rua ganharam um saco de ração, brinquedo, uma coleira e guia, foram vacinados, vermifugados, tomaram banho e a nossa atenção..! Difícil mas sempre gratificante fazer parte disso! Quem puder, pode ajudar doando no picpay da @moradoresderuaeseuscaes ! Hoje também foi o aniversário do @eduleporo que completou 47 anos! We also run a number of social businesses, where farm produce such as crops, vegetables, eggs chicken, pork and fish supply our own kitchens or are sold to generate income for our cause. Our on-site café in Guatemala and the St. Luc production centre Francisville in Haiti, set examples in social entrepreneurship and provide vocational training for our students. At NPH, children and youth participate in the daily chores of the home. Les informamos que la Comisión Nacional de Prevención de Riesgos y Atención de Emergencias ha comunicado que lo que se conoce como Zona de Convergencia Intertropical se está ubicando sobre Costa Rica, lo que está ocasionando fuertes lluvias en todo el territorio nacional, con una mayor afectación en la zona del pacífico. Según se reporta en los diferentes noticieros locales y nacionales, la provincia de Guanacaste ya se encuentra en Alerta Naranja debido a que está siendo muy afectada por las tormentas, donde algunos pueblos han quedado incomunicados por el colapso de puentes y vías de tránsito, así como ya se reportan casas inundadas y otros daños por la misma causa. Recomendaciones: • Mantenerse informados y acatar solamente los mensajes que se difundan las instancias oficiales en el nivel nacional, regional y municipal. • Extremar precauciones en partes montañosas de todo el país. • Precaución a los conductores por condiciones de lluvias, neblinas en las principales carreteras del país. • Estar atentos ante posibles tormentas eléctricas. • Mantener las medidas de distanciamiento y restricciones emitidas por el Ministerio de Salud y otras autoridades por la Pandemia de COVID 19 que afecta al territorio nacional. We would like to inform you that the National Commission for Risk Prevention and Emergency Attention has communicated that the Intertropical Convergence Zone is over Costa Rica right now, which is causing heavy rains throughout the national territory, with a greater impact on the pacific zone. As reported in the different local and national newscasts, the province of Guanacaste is already in Orange Alert because it is being very affected by the storms, where some towns have been cut off due to the collapse of bridges and roads. Unfortunately, flooded houses and other damages for the same cause are already being reported.
