Obat remdesivir dengan merk Covifor tersebut merupakan produksi PT Amarox Global Pharma, perusahaan asal India dan anak usaha perusahaan Hetero. Obat tersebut dijual dengan harga Rp3 juta per dosis. Covifor sudah memperoleh persetujuan izin edar Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM). Obat ini juga sudah mendapatkan persetujuan emergency use authorization (EUA) dari BPOM. Obat ini digunakan pengobatan pasien penyakit COVID-19 yang telah terkonfirmasi oleh laboratorium, terutama untuk orang dewasa atau remaja yakni berusia 12 tahun ke atas dengan berat badan minimal 40 kg yang dirawat di rumah sakit dengan kondisi yang parah. GENDER AND DELEGATING IN THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT (AND IN MEDICINE) Todays post by Dr. Anita Chary discusses some of the ways our gender affects the PRACTICE of medicine. Dr. Chary was given some feedback as a resident - to stop doing all the work and delegate tasks such as repeat vital signs, fetching blankets, gathering supplies and taking patients to radiology to technicians, coordinators and nursing when appropriate. Dr. Chary noted that her male colleagues were able to delegate these tasks. But when she discussed with her female resident colleagues, she found that their collective experiences suggested gender influenced their abilities to delegate. She reached out to mentors on HOW to better delegate these tasks and have it be warmly accepted by the rest of the medical team. She shares these pearls of wisdom in todays post. 📚🔬 Physical Therapy for Tendinopathy ℹ️ℹ️ INTRO: Tendon pathology is a common problem among the population. ℹ️ Think: Tennis Elbow Jumper’s Knee Achilles Tendon etc. ℹ️ There are many treatment options and factors to consider. ℹ️ With the key goal to improve the capacity of the tendon and muscle to manage load. ℹ️ Girgis et al. (2020), completed an umbrella review of 45 systematic reviews in the last decade to see how effective physical therapy is to treat tendinopathy, as a single disease entity. 📊📊 RESULTS: Moderate-quality evidence may support these treatments: 📊 Eccentric exercise was supported by qualitative evidence only. 📊 Low Level Laser Therapy for pain and short-term function. 📊 Extracorporeal shockwave therapy for pain and short/medium/long term function. ‼️ LIMITATIONS: Results pooled, however there are possible pathological differences in tendinopathy at each region. ✅✅ HIGHLIGHTS: ✅ Moderate-quality quantitative evidence was found for some interventions. ✅ Eccentric exercise was supported by qualitative evidence only. ✅ The superior intervention and optimal protocols remain unknown. 🧠🧠 Thoughts? Cimahi - Kasus COVID-19 di Kota Cimahi terus mengalami penambahan yang didominasi klaster keluarga. Alhasil saat ini Cimahi kembali masuk ke zona merah dan menerapkan PSBM. Berdasarkan data Dinas Kesehatan Kota Cimahi, dalam dua pekan terakhir setidaknya ada penambahan 52 kasus positif COVID-19. Minggu pertama bertambah 39 kasus lalu di minggu ke dua bertambah 13 kasus. Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Kota Cimahi Pratiwi mengatakan rata-rata kasus positif COVID-19 di Cimahi merupakan hasil tracing dari kontak erat kasus sebelumnya. Lalu ada pula penambahan dari kasus impor yang dilaporkan ke Dinas Kesehatan Kota Cimahi. Penambahan selama dua minggu ini cukup banyak sampai 52 kasus. Kebanyakan itu tracing kontak erat lalu kasus impor. Misalnya warga Cimahi kerja di luar daerah, di sana positif lalu hasilnya lapor ke kita, ungkap Pratiwi, Kamis (17/9/2020). Saat ini, kasus positif COVID-19 di Cimahi tercatat menyentuh angka 272 kasus. Rinciannya 66 orang dinyatakan positif aktif, 199 dinyatakan sembuh, dan 7 orang meninggal dunia.
