A good sleep leads to good skin health because when you have less sleep makes more of stress hormone which lead to skin disease. 😴 During deep sleep, the rise in growth hormones allows damaged cells to become repaired. Without the deeper phases of sleep, this wont occur, allowing daily small breakdowns to accumulate instead of being reversed overnight. This leads to aging. 😴 Tips for Getting Good Sleep & Good Skin Health: 😴Stop watching TV and using phone 2 hours before going to bed. 😴Dont eat late in the evening. 😴Take a shower before sleep. 😴Drink plenty of water throughout the day but not late at night. . Utilize this Quarantine for Good Sleep 😴 leads to Good Skin Health 😊 . #sleep #skincare #skinhealth #quarantinelife #goodsleep - @innila on Instagram

What do you wish you would have known about the first few months of parenthood? Tomorrow I will be joining @wellsetco & @shethinx for a webinar to discuss some of the physical and emotional changes that come with the postpartum experience and how to set yourself and loved ones up for support (especially in 2020). Sometimes Getting Pregnant is Not the Issue⠀ “At least you know you can get pregnant.”⠀ ⠀ This is a phrase that I have heard countless times over the last two years, from well-meaning strangers, family, and friends who want to help, and even others in the infertility community. This is an example of toxic positivity, the phenomenon of people forcing a “positive spin,” to cover up a person’s true emotions or experiences.⠀ ⠀ Other examples include:⠀ “At least you weren’t that far along when you miscarried.⠀ Trying is the fun part, right?!”⠀ This is something that we in the infertility community experience far too often.⠀ ⠀ Experiencing Recurrent Pregnancy Loss⠀ When my husband and I started trying to have a baby, I found out only two months later I was pregnant. In fact, I was pregnant three times in 2019, and I was even on birth control for two months of that year.⠀ ⠀ Getting pregnant was never my problem. I have been pregnant three times, but all three of those ended in a loss.⠀ ⠀ Read more about Taylors experience with the link in bio or our stories.⠀ Follow Taylor at @infertileandimpatient - @fertilitysmarts on Instagram

Often times new parents are surprised at how little it takes to feed their newborn. When they see the small amount of colostrum their body is producing in the first days after birth they will sometimes worry if that is in fact enough. Most of the time, it is! Your newborn only needs about 1-1.5tsp (5-7ml) of your colostrum in the first two days of life. By day 3 they are eating more, about 3/4oz-1oz (22ml-30ml) per feeding. More times than not your body is making enough for your newborn in those first few days. If you’re pregnant and planning to breastfeed, get informed about how your body works, what helps this process, what can hinder the process and how much your baby needs. Talking to a lactation consultant or finding a breastfeeding support group like La Leche League can be a great place to start. - @misty_intuitivebirth on Instagram
