Random Ass Flashback Friday- Before I got into acting I did extra, stand in and photo double work. I actually was a stand in and photo double for Keanu Reeves in Coppola’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Alex Winter’s film Freaked. And let me just say Keanu is as nice as you hope he would be. Great guy. Anyway I ended up on one or two movie posters as well. That’s my backside on one of the posters for the 1992 film Crossing the Bridge. Haven’t seen the film so I don’t know who I was doubling. 🤷🏻♂️ Also I remember Keanu had to be somewhere so he wasn’t available when they shot the one sheet for Freaked. So I underwent a few hours of prosthetics and they shot me as his Dog Boy character with the rest of the cast. So fun getting to hang around Mr. T!! And unless they replaced me in the final print that’s me in the upper right hand corner. Ok, that’s all the silly, benign facts for today. Stay safe out there. I’m aware that I’m a tad bit late on posting about this but I must say that I avoided it as long as I could because i truly never wanted it to end. The LPHS theatre. Where do I even begin? This is my home. I struggled in many ways and this place became somewhere I could escape it all. I would sit in class everyday and watch the clock tick just waiting for it to be time for musical/one act practice. As a freshmen in Pippin and On the Razzle I was in boy troupe and an alternate and I was amazed by the experience and I dreamed of getting that lead role someday. As a sophomore in Guys and Dolls and Peter and the Starcatcher I went crazy when I got my first roles and tried my best to do good ha. As a junior in Newsies and The Beaux Strategem I worked hard and took more time to really understand acting and the stage I was on. As a senior I worked as hard as I possibly could and in Curtains and The Three Musketeers my goal was accomplished and I finally got those leads I had always dreamed about. If it wasn’t for Mrs. A, Mrs.Regan , Mr.Nelson, Ms.Angelo, and all the other volunteers and people who’ve helped along the way I would’ve never been able to achieve my goals and to them I am so grateful. I loved every single moment that I had on that stage. I loved Mrs. As daily speeches and encouragement. I loved staying till 2:30am and waking up bright and early the next day and doing it all over again!! I loved every hour, minute, and second and I wish I could relive it all. It truly is the most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. - @eric_navarro1 on Instagram

But in this film its not weird rather, it gets tough to come back home once you play this game and go to the space. This film revolves around a board game called Zathura. The film opens up with the scene where Danny and Walter, two brothers, fighting over whose turn its to play football with their dad. Their parents are separated so naturally their weeks have got separated in daddy week and in mommy week. Being a big brother, Walter thinks his brother Danny is useless and hes way too better than him. It kind of makes Danny sad, after all hes 6. Being entangled in a fight when their father leaves, Danny takes shelter in the dumbwaiter to save himself from his brother. But Walter finds him and lowers Danny down to the basement. A houses basement is always a scariest place to the little ones. Here in this film, Danny finds a board game Zathura, in the basement and comes upstairs to play it with Walter. Walter denies, because hes so much into sports news. So, Danny starts playing it himself. He winds up the key, pushes the GO button, and a small car starts moving ahead down the track. A card comes out, and Walter reads it on behalf of Danny, where its written that : Meteor Shower, take evasive action and after a while meteors start showering on their living room. Evading and saving themselves from this disaster, the only way open to them is keep playing the game and ending it asap. As they keep playing the game, several cards start coming out from it. Sometimes theyre visited by an astronaut and sometimes by Zorgons.
