I have never ridden a motorcycle. I really cant even say I have much of a desire to do so either.... like if I ever do, cool. If not, no biggy. There was even a time I really didnt likeem too. When Abel was a baby he was super sensitive to sound. The roar of one passing by if we were on a walk while he was napping in the moby would almost always disturb him and momentarily ruin the peace of our stroll. Odin on the other hand has been way aboutem since he was a baby. Loves them. We have lived through MANY meltdowns when his favorite motorcycle of the month is missing. He asked me the other day to build him a black motorcycle. The first time hes ever really requested something. I Fawkes with Lego Pt. 1 Abel and I are currently reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The Prisoner of Azkaban is the favorite book because we just finished it, but #TheChamberofSecrets is still the favorite of the first three movies. Abel and I have a deal to finish a book first, then watch the movie. As we watch it is so awesome listening to him notice the details or pick out the differences. While we read feeling his excitement to turn the page is a sensation I will cherish forever. Blessed by the patience of the family and thanks to #saferathome, I got to spend about 4 days digging through our trays of #Lego whenever I could to piece this puzzle together. Abels first build of #Fawkes and the illustration by #JimKay as my inspiration and guides. 🥰 Slide breakdown.... 1. I was getting some #hitchcock vibes and is meant to highlight his #mohawk lookin hairdo. 2. was essentially the beginning. 3. was a 3am feeling of victory as it was the first time Id connected the wings, legs, and head with the tail left to finish and I could really see a version of my vision coming together. 4. First stretch of the wings in Sunlight. 5. Ring of Fire 6. & 7. I was evaluating some finishing touches. 8. & 9. I made a #BabyFawkes for Abel to use with his #Hogwarts he and I built. 10. A little behind on updates, I havent done much printing in the last week, which is ironic given Ive been on staycation. One of the benefits of wfh is Im right next to my printer all day, so Ive printed pretty much everything I wanted to. In my D&D campaign, dwarves have been decimated and demoralized, and Ive found myself drawn to that race more than I ever did (true confession, Ive never played a dwarf in all these decades). Soon after the brawler I printed for @massive_master_matt I stumbled across Torvald Sturlagson here, and just loved the concept especially given hes a dwarven necromancer. I later found out hes a character from a comic Ive seen from time to time, but I just thought he was a cool character and I needed to print him with the marble. I think he turned out really well, but Im going to need to paint his face darker to really look like the character. - @tkarakashian on Instagram
