Uma foto com meus amigos de palco para ilustrar meu próximo texto de treino: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Treino de peito: Muitas pessoas tem dificuldade (inclusive eu) de desenvolver os músculos do peitoral. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A primeira abordagem como de praxe é verificar possíveis encurtamentos, músculo encurtado não desenvolve direito e não produz força quanto um com alongamento certo. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Seguindo a linha, a execução é de grande importância, tanto no sentido de não jogar o peso nos ombros, quanto pra não tirar a tensão do músculo descendo demais (como em alguns casos que é usada a força elástica). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ainda falando sobre técnica, o uso das escápulas tanto quanto no treino de dorsal é fundamental, a dica do @godoi de manter elas em retração sem deixar com que sejam abduzidas na fase concêntrica, já resolve esse problema. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Outro problema que comento de praxe aqui é a falta da carga, no treino de peito um parceiro de treino para ajudar é fundamental (ajuda no sentido de alcançar peso, o parceiro fazer toda força pra você pode acontecer o oposto do que busca) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Um problema muito comum é na seleção dos exercícios, exercício para miolo não existe (isso tem muita relação com hipertrofia, %bf baixo e maturidade muscular), treino de peito normalmente é meio engessado mesmo (supinos, flys, crossover, sejam eles em máquinas, livres, no Smith, na polia). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Treino de peito feminino normalmente precisa de uma análise mais detalhada, mas isso é papo para outro texto. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Resumindo: Cuidar da postura, selecionar bons exercícios, cargas e execuções apropriadas, e volume de treino adequado. - @leof41 on Instagram

🤵Why are we so married to certain exercises? Barbell Bench Press Edition 👰⠀ ⠀ 👀 Let’s look at the traditional barbell bench press - Monday’s exercise (and sometimes an everyday exercise for some people...) 🗓 ⠀ ⠀ 🔄 The traditional barbell bench press is an internally rotatING motion that compresses our thorax in a front to back direction - thus, limiting our ability to rotate (this can be good or not so good depending on our goal)⠀ ⠀ Any exercise that is bilateral, symmetrical (squat, barbell bench press, chin-up, row) is a compressive strategy. Unilateral, asymmetrical strategies will usually promote more rotation. ⠀ ⠀ 🤔 So why do the traditional bench press? ⠀ ⠀ 👉 The main reasons to do this particular exercise are:⠀ ⠀ 1. If you want to be a better bench presser (either powerlifting for sport or just to be better at being jacked and tan)⠀ ⠀ 2. To create compression and stiffness (Football Lineman or someone that is just weak overall and needs more stiffness)⠀ ⠀ 🚫 The main reasons to NOT perform the traditional bench press (or to at least modify it or have this be a small portion of your program):⠀ ⠀ 1. It hurts. Modify your pressing. There are soooo many variations. Find one that feels better and then sprinkle on barbell bench press as tolerated. ⠀ ⠀ 2. There are those days you think back to your start. Ive only been at this 2 1/2 years but wow, so much has happened and so much has progressed. Having never played a sport before, I saw these two incredible athletes and was in awe as I watched them battle it out at my first fit expo comp. Come to think now how far each one of us has come today. @jacobfinerty fighting for his pro card in spite of being injured and going on to create a gym empire that I call home. @martinslicis for going on and winning worlds strongest man, proving that some men may just be big, but his performance was bigger. And myself, with my coach as my example, pushing myself to be better at every opportunity I have and hitting numbers I never imagined. I want to follow in their footsteps. I want to run a gym empire. I want to win the world. And most importantly, I want to do it all with that bear across my chest like my banner! I remember telling myself that I needed to get this picture that day and Im so grateful I did.
