September seriously flew by. I thought Id struggle with my goal to omit bread products, but for the most part it really wasnt that bad. Mainly, I missed it at lunch time. I like lunches that I dont have to heat and sandwiches are really the best option for that. I did it though! And the number on the scale this morning was very exciting! My main goal was to see my waistbeads from @divinedollz713 move just a little & I think we were successful! 🙌🏾 Please remember, I did my jumprope challenge in conjunction with keto + intermittent fasting. Not sure I would have had the same results on the SAD (Standard American Diet). I didddd go off plan just last week for 3 days and went up to 231lbs but I didn’t stop jumping (I know, I’m surprised too😆). Jumped right back on plan last Thursday! Iron is one of the most important minerals that babies and toddlers need to support their growth and brain development. Today I’m sharing some quick, easy and delicious iron rich snack ideas you can incorporate into your snack time rotation. Each of the snacks/mini meals above is paired with Vitamin C rich foods as when iron rich foods are paired with Vitamin C, the iron is more readily absorbed. This is particularly important when serving non heme (plant based) sources of iron as it is less well absorbed by the body compared to heme (animal) sources of iron. Note: if serving carrot/apples to babies/young toddlers ensure they are steamed until soft. It’s important to: 🍽 Serve iron-rich foods at every meal 🍓🥦🍋 Enhance iron absorption by pairing with Vit C sources from fruit/veg 🥛Go easy on the milk!
