Borsarmulu Park Management takes our hat off to the caring Malaysian/Sarawakian Government that placed the top premium on our safety and kept supporting us through this challenging ordeal. We simultaneously celebrate the re- opening of ISCA show caves in the instances where their responsible Governments allowed the re-opening of some caves and our supporting thoughts are with those caves in countries where it is not presently possible to re-open. We also need to thank the local Mulu community who is so tightly interwoven with that of the Park and feels the economic impact as deeply. Their resilience, patience, cooperation and sharing manner sets an example to all of humanity. Daisy is one lucky dog! ❤️🐕 ~ She fell into a gap between boulders at a beach in Denmark but was rescued by Denmark Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service. ~ Heres how they said the rescue unfolded: ~ Well today we got to meet Daisy, Daisy and her humans were holidaying in Denmark and decided a trip to burn off some steam at the local dog beach would be a good idea. ~ Ever the adventurer, Daisy decided she would do some rock hopping but not being as young as she used to be found out that this gap was just too much for her and managed to fall down about three metres into a gap about 400/500mm wide. ~ Her humans tried to get her out but just didnt have access to anything to do it safely so they called the awesome rangers from the Shire of Denmark who quickly realised some more help was needed and asked the owner to call @dfes_wa and thats how we met Daisy. ~ We had to think a bit differently for this one and because of the nature of the task we had to keep everyone safe, not to mention keeping Daisy safe so to assist us we called Claudia from Denmark Vet Hospital & Paws Surgery Services to come out and provide us some advice. ~ Overall it took crews about an hour and a half to gain access and help get Daisy out of her pickle and off to continue her adventures! ~ Remember we dont just fight fires we are here to help when we can and we love our doggos too! ~ 📷 Denmark Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service. ~ #dog #dogs #dogrescue #rescuedog #rescueddog #pet #pets #doglovers #firefighters #firies #searchandrescue #doglife #dogsofinstagram #doggies #dogscorner #animalwelfare #denmarkwa #searchandrescuedog - @abcperth on Instagram

- Due to the shoestring budget of Star Wars (1977), some sets werent completed as first intended. This necessitated the use of several forced perspective shots. For example, when Obi Wan shuts down the tractor beam, hes merely standing in front of a picture of a painting.
My co-worker April and I did some light caving yesterday, first at Duck Creek Ice Cave (1-4) and then at Mammoth Cave (3-7). Both caves are within 30 minutes drive from each other, but the geology is wildly different. Duck Creek Ice Cave, as suggested, is c o l d . ❄️ The mouth of the cave is higher that its floor, which prevents warmer air from circulating inside, keeping the temperature low year-round (a cold trap static ice cave). This late in the season, there wasnt much ice left but there was still a lot of meltwater dripping down from the cave walls. Speaking of cave walls, this small one-room ice cave is formed out of colorful limestone (photos 3-4) in a variety of textures. In contrast, Mammoth Cave is a lava tube, formed from igneous rock, rather than sedimentary. Its very dry and dusty compared to Ice Cave, and much larger, with more than 2000 feet of passages. In photo #5 you can see a metal bat gate down below to protect hibernating bats from disturbance by humans. I would definitely recommend bringing a headlamp to Mammoth cave if you plan on doing any more in-depth explorations as a phone or flashlight wont cut it when youre scrambling around through low passageways. #DuckCreekIceCave #MammothCave #GeologyRocks #CavesAndKarst #OptInsideOfACave #MarkaguntPlateau - @ranger.cass on Instagram

Devils Den Time from Tampa: 2 hours Where: Williston Devils Den is a privately owned SCUBA diving training facility that allows snorkeling. The Den is a pre-historic underground cave that is only accessible via narrow stairs that end underwater. Therefor the only admission to the Den its self is for people who are snorkeling or SCUBA diving and by definition are good swimmers. Children under the age of 6 and any type of flotation device are not permitted in the Den. To maximize the guest experience we limit the number of snorkelers to 35 at a time. Rope Soloing at Windy Point, Mt Lemmon If you cant find a partner for climbing outdoors you have two options. You can go bouldering, or you can spend hours learning how to rope solo. My first attempt had me wondering what the hell I was doing up there, clinging shakily to the cold granite. But after a few times I realized its pretty sweet being all alone on the wall. सह्याद्रीतील फ्रिज- कमळगड प्रसिद्ध आहे तो गेरूच्या विहीरी साठी. विहीर म्हटलं की गोल आकार जमिनी लगत असं चित्र आपल्या डोळ्यासमोर उभं राहतं. परंतु, कमळगडावरील ही विहीर आयताकृती आहे. या विहिरीत आत उतरायला कातळात खोदलेल्या पायऱ्या आहेत. पायऱ्या उतरत जाताना आपण जणु डोंगराच्या पोटात जात असल्यासारखे भासते. विहिरीत उतरणारी वाट अतिशय अरुंद असल्याने आयताकृती वाट उतरत असताना थरारक अनुभव येतो. या आयताकृती विहिरी अंदाजे 80 ते 90फूट खोल कपारीत आहे. जस जसे आपण विहिरीच्या तळाशी जातो तसं तसं विहिरीतील वातावरण थंडगार होतं जातं. जणू आपण निसर्गनिर्मित फ्रीज मध्ये जात आहोत असा अनुभव येतो. तळाशी पोहोचल्यावर चहुबाजूला खोल कपारी असून सर्वत्र गेरू किंवा काव यांची ओलसर लाल रंगाची माती दिसते. पायऱ्या निसरड्या असल्याने उतरण्यासाठी दोर बांधलेले आहेत. ✍️📸अमोल team @sahyadriwede - @sahyadriwede on Instagram

It may be hard to beleive but the shadow in the background is probably the size of your average house if not bigger! The size of the caverns in this welsh slate mine were unbelievable! The drop over the edge must be about 4 stories high. Trezkinn and Royal Arch Caves in Chillagoe. So much to see and discover 😍 ⠀⠀ @corporatetocaravans boys were equally impressed with the incredible engineering inside the caves, which took 4 years to construct with each piece being manufactured offsite and brought in piece by piece through narrow passageways. ⠀⠀ One pic shows a stalagmite inside the Trezkinn cave.
