For all those asking baby Frankie is pure perfection. Mom and dad are exhausted as we’ve all been in that first 48 hours with a brand new baby. They needed to be fed and told they’re doing a great job and that baby is doing brilliant so me and Grandma Lonni were happy to oblige. We brought lots of food (thanks Uncle G, @gerranthorhaug) took turns rocking baby so mama could enjoy a meal, we laughed a lot and witnessed Aunty Kaitlyns demeanour completely change in the 3 short hours we were there. I got a lot of questions for my post on Sarah’s birthday about the birthday girl. She was not in any of the pictures. The answer is quite simple, she was having a massive tantrum. Over the last few months, I realised that Sarah responds to my behaviour. If I’m stressed or busy, she will be very moody, if I’m sad or depressed she will just sit near me with no expressions, If I’m calm, then she is the best baby ever. On her birthday, I was a bit late in arranging her birthday decor and “decorating” the cake, and if you guys know me, then you know once I’m late, I go into a anxiety inducing “get it done” mode. And as expected Sarah responded accordingly by having a massive tantrum. We have no videos or photos of the celebrations because she bawled through it all. Post all the drama, I took her upstairs and sat with her and hugged her. Within 5 mins, she was laughing and playing. Just because she saw I was calm. That’s when I realised, If I had been more composed, maybe she would have been happy. The same applies for colicky babies as well. As Sarah had one of worst cases, I’ve tried everything in the book to make her comfortable. From swaddles to slings to rockers to medicines. Nothing worked. But I read in a blog that one of the mothers would put on noise cancelling headphones and keep rocking her baby while singing, and even though it took time, the baby would calm down. I tried the same for Sarah and it did work, not all the time but occasionally it did and sometimes that’s all you need. It gets very frustrating and yes you will get the urge to shake the baby (trust me, hours of non stop crying messes with your brain a lot, especially if you have postpartum issues), so sometimes just cancelling out the crying works, not just for them but also for our sanity. Recently I found out it works for toddlerhood too. Maybe it’s the best way to resemble a conflict, not just with babies but also with adults as well. This time, it was harder than ever to choose pictures for this post. But these are a few of my favorites. It just captured special moments. Like our morning routine of kissing, biting each other’s nose, cheek or chin while still slowly waking up, still warm from the covers we just left. Like the times when Maya is so happy she has to bounce up and down her knees while screaming of laughter - the cutest thing I have ever seen!- or like when the day is coming to an end, so we get our last burst of energy out while climbing on dad and maman and rolling around in bed. Little simple moments but they made these few months unforgettable. Mind you, also Maya has been eating solids like a champ and loves her citrusy fruits (oranges are her favorite). She is officially crawling and can stand up on her own while holding on to something higher than her - I can already see myself running after her everywhere once she figures out how to walk -. Her teeth have been bothering her more and more so she isn’t too too happy sometimes but it goes away pretty fast usually and I am secretly hoping we find out about Maya’s first tooth by biting into daddy’s chin lol - @nathoucc on Instagram

11 months (a few days late, actually), but wow! Where has the time gone?! I never would’ve thought that when you came home to us at barely 48 hours old, that we would still be together. I’ve seen all the ugly the world has to offer but the birth of this angel 😇 was absolutely the hardest thing I’ve ever been through personally. #1 I have a new found and utmost RESPECT for women. #2 an unparalleled respect for any women with C section stripes. We are nothing without you. @kerminton is the strongest individual I know. She carried our angel Lola Faye and gave her wings 👼 in the hardest way possible. I am a mom who dresses up my son in pink clothes! Anyone? 🙌🏻 . Vidhu has turned 8 months old day before yesterday, did his milestone yesterday & posting today. Yeh I know it’s late but being late the results haven’t turned lousy. It was more than what we expected. Thank you Dragon fruit. . Also he likes to: 🧸 Play in the kitchen & nowhere else 🧸 Pull mom’s hair & jump on dad’s stomach. 🧸 Sleep on dada’s arms when he rocks him in the night. A new bedtime routine. 🧸 Play with window blinds until he rips it off. . He can: 🧸 Walk with ease with a little support. 🧸 Repeat the sounds we make and can say mom, dad, grandpa & aunt. 🧸 Sit in W position & doesn’t want to sit normally 🧸 Drink with open cup and he enjoys it. . There is constant crying happening fir many reasons. Also he shouts from the bottom of his lungs to show his disapproval.
