In Tulunadu, in the 10th century, Kundavarma, the most famous king of Alupa Dynasty was ruling. Mangalore was the capital of his kingdom. At that time, there came two sages named Machhendranatha and Gorakanatha from Nepal. They reached Mangalapura, crossing the river Nethravathi. The place were they crossed the river came to be known as ‘Gorakdandu’. They chose a place near the bank of Nethravathi which was once the centre of activities of sage Kapila. He had his hermitage there and it was a great centre of education.Hearing about the arrival of the two saints the king came to meet them. Introducing himself as the King of Tulunadu he paid them his respects and offered all help and patronage. Pleased with the humility and virtues of the king they brought to his knowledge that his kingdom was a holy place and it was sanctified by the activities of holy saints and sages in the past. They requested him to grant them land so that they could build their hermitage and make it a centre of their religious activities under his protection and patronage.For Kundavarma it was really a surprise to know that his land had such a hoary history. It was from these saints he came to know that once upon a time, in his land there existed a temple dedicated to mother Mangaladevi. He heard from them the story of Vikhasini, Andasura, Parashurama and the temple of Mangaladevi built by Parashurama. The two saints took the king to the places where all these historical events had taken place. They asked the king to dig the place and retrieve the Linga and the Dharapatra symbolising Mangaladevi and install them in a shrine along with Nagaraja for protection.Kundavarma carried out the advice of the two sages. A grand shrine of Sri Mangaladevi stood on the holy place. The two sages themseleves guided and supervised the execution of the work. The temple attained special significance as Mother Magaladevi granted special favours, especially on maidens. Pious maidens who worship the Goddess observing Mangaladharavrata (Swayamvara Parvathi) will heave their wishes fulfilled. It was Lord Shanmukha’s own will to choose the barren Hillock in Rajarajeshwari Nagar as His abode and He inspired His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Bharathi Theertha Mahaswamiji of Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri, to appoint Dr. R. Arunachalam as His contractor to build Shrungagiri Sri Shanmukha Temple on the hillock. The design of the entire temple structure is based on the very name of Lord Shanmukha, which means a ‘Six Faced God’. In other words, the design of the whole Temple is based on ‘Star” concept. The Sanctum (Garbha Gudi) and its outer circle (Prakara), devotees’ hall, outer walls, roof design – all are ‘Star’ shape constructions. The Temple Gopuram structure is the six faces of Lord Shanmukha. The Crystal Dome stands at a commanding height of 42′ from the top of the Temple Gopuram, embedded with 2500 Nos. of 1′ diameter crystals. During day time, when direct Sun Light falls on the crystals, the same is converted into a beautiful “Rainbow” pattern. In the evening, the crystals are illuminated by 27 Watt LED lights, each crystal disseminating 16 colour combination lights, forming 138 patterns. The total output works out to 67,500 Watts. The luminous capacity of the Crystal Dome ranges from 36,000 Lumina (at a minimum value of 18 per unit) to 3, 70,000 Lumina (at a maximum value of 186 per unit) and the power consumption ranges from 2KW to 54 KW. RishikeshBharat Mandir (Temple) is the most ancient, most sacred, most famous temple in Rishikesh. Temple is located in the heart of the city (middle of the city). Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya reinstalled the presiding deity in the temple on the day of Basant Panchmi in 789 A.D. On this day every year the Shaligram is taken for a holy bath in the scared Mayakund and then carried in a grand procession through the city to be taken back to the temple for the symbolic reinstallation. It is also believed that if any pilgrim on the day of Akshya Tritiya takes 108 parikarmas (rounds) of Lord Shri Hrishikesh Naranyan at this temple and seeks the blessing at his feet (it is only day when Lords feet are uncovered), all his wishes are full filled and it is equivalent to the pilgrimage to Badrinath.The temple is mentioned in Vishnu Puran, Shrimadbhagwat, Mahabharat, Vaman Puran and Narsingh Puran. Lord Hrishikesh known as Shri Bharatji Maharaj is different from Lord Ramas younger brother Bharat. He is known by the name of Bharat because he is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu in Kaliyuga, the preserving force holding Shankh, Chakra, Gada and Padam in his four hands. It is said that the five Pandavas along with Draupadi visited here on their way to heaven. Having stayed here for some period and performed worship of Lord Hirishikesh Narayan.It is sait thet the main temple is named after the Bharat Ram’s brother who meditated here at the time of the Tretayug along wth his other brothers. There is in fact a belief that in the kalyug, Vishnu will be worshipped as Bharat. (ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ) ਮੈਂ ਜਿੱਧਰ ਵੇਖਾਂ ਉਧਰ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਉਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਰੂਪ ਦਿੱਸੇ। (ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਸਾਰੇ ਭਰਮ, ਸਾਰੇ ਮੋਹ, ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਨੇੜੇ ਦਿੱਸਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਨਾਨਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ, (ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀਆਂ) ਅੱਖਾਂ (ਹਰ ਥਾਂ) ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਰਹਿਣ ॥੧॥ Soohee, Fifth Mehl: Be Merciful, O my Beloved Lord and Master, that I may behold the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan with my eyes. शिरोमणि वीर राव चूड़ामण सिंह जी की -पुण्यतिथि पर नमन जब मुगलो के अत्याचार चरम सीमा पर थे तब राव चूड़ामन सिंह जी का यदुवंशी क्षत्रिय जाट परिवार में जन्म हुआ। उनके पूर्वज सिनसिनी के राजा थे।लेकिन मुगलो व कुछ गद्दारो के कारण बाद में सिनसिनी(शुरसेनी) का राज उनके हाथ से निकल गया था। तब राव चूड़ामण सिंह जी ने ब्रिज क्षेत्र से अपनी सेना में योग्य सैनिक भर्ती किये व थून में अपना किला बनाया और जल्द ही वहां 80 गांवों की रियासत स्थापित कर ली। उसके बाद उन्होंने सिनिसनी भी औरँगेजेब के वंशजो से छीन ली व वहां वापिस हिन्दू राज स्थापित किया। •मुगलो को हराया साम्राज्य को विस्तारित किया सन् 1704 ई. में अपने राज्य में मिला लिया। सन् 1705 ई. में आगरे के मुगल-सूबेदार मुख्तारखां और सन् 1707 ई. में राजाबहादुर से सिनसिनी के मैदान में लड़ाई हुई। दूसरी लड़ाई में एक हजार जाट शहीद हुए और दस गाड़ी हथियार उनके दुश्मन के हाथ लगे, किन्तु विजय जाटों की ही रही। सन् 1707 ई. में औरंगजेब की मृत्यु हो गई। राव चूड़ामन सिंह ने ऐसे समय पर राज्य बढ़ाने की सोची, किन्तु नीतिमत्ता के साथ इस काम में हाथ डालने लगे। औरंगजेब के बहादुरशाह के शासनकाल में जब बहादुरशाह और आजम में जाजऊ गांव के पास लड़ाई हुई तो राजा चूड़ामण सिंह ने अवसर के अनुसार हारने वाले पर आक्रमण करके उसके हथियाई छीन लिए व जीतने वाले के साथ अपनी सहानुभूति प्रकट की। सन् 1713 ई. में जब जहांदार और फर्रुखसियर में लड़ाई हुई तो युद्ध के अंत में राव चूडामन सिहं ने दोनों पर बारी बारी आक्रमण करके उनके हथियार व धन छीन लिये। यहां उन्हें बहुत-सा धन प्राप्त हुआ। इसी प्रकार हसनपुर की लड़ाई के समय उन्होंने शाही-सेना के हाथियों को छीन लिया। उसके बाद भी उन्होंने अनेक युद्ध किए व विजय प्राप्त की पर उनके अंतिम समय में राजगद्धी को लेकर उनके बेटे राजा मुकम सिंह व राव चुडामन सिंह के भतीजे कुंवर बदन सिंह (बाद में महाराजा बदन सिंह) के बीच झगड़े के कारण राव चुडामन सिंह ने रियासत छोडकर जंगल में चले गए थे ! व 20 सितंबर 1721 को उनका स्वर्गवास हो गया था। उनकी पुण्यतिथि पर उन्हें कोटि कोटि नमन 🙏⚔️ #raochuramansingh ,#churaman ,#churamansingh ,#bharatpur,#brij,#deeg,#kshatriya ,#todayhistory ,#rao,#maharajasurajmal ,#jathistory . - @jat_kshatriya_culture on Instagram

•रांजणगाव• The Ranjangaon Ganpati temple, also famous as Mahaganpati of Ranjangaon is located in Shirur Taluka about 51.5 km (via Pune - Ahmednagar Highway - in 1 hr 31 min) from Pune. This is the eighth temple visited by devotees who set out on the divine Ashtavinayak Darshan. The idol at Ranjangaon is called Mahaganpati because it is representation of Lord Ganeshas most powerful disguise. Managanpati is portrayed, seated on a lotus, flanked by his consorts Siddhi (spiritual power) and Riddhi (prosperity). The idol of Lord Ganesha is also named as Mahotkat, and it is said that the idol has 10 trunks and 20 hands. Mahaganpati is depicted as having eight, ten or twelve arms. It is after invoking this form of Ganpati that Shiva vanquished the demon Tripurasur and so he is also known as Tripurarivade Mahaganpati. It is believed that the place where Lord Shiva invoked Lord Ganesha and defeated Tripurasura is Ranjangaon (the word Ranjan means the delighted one), prior to which it had the name of Manipur. அருள்மிகு பெரியநாயகி அம்மன் உடனுறை பிரகதீஸ்வரர் திருக்கோயில்கோயில் தஞ்சாவூர்.🕉️ ஸ்தலவரலாறு:- ➡️ தஞ்சை பெயர் காரணம்:- தஞ்சகன் எனும் அரக்கன் சிவனிடம் பல வரங்களை பெற்றிருந்தான் இதன்காரணமாக அசுரனின் கொடுமையை தாங்காத தேவர்கள் சிவனிடம் முறையிட்டனர் சிவன் காளியை அனுப்பி அசுரனை அழித்தார் இதன்காரணமாகவே அவனது பெயரிலே தஞ்சை என அழைக்கப்பட்டது. ➡️முதலாம் சோழன் என்றழைக்கப்பட்ட ராஜ ராஜ சோழன் சிவனுக்கு ஒரு மிகப்பெரிய கோவிலை கட்டவேண்டும் என நினைத்தார் அதன்படி அவர் மற்ற மாவட்டங்களிலிருந்தும் மாநிலங்களிலிருந்து கற்கள் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டு இறைவனுக்கு ஆலயம் எழுப்பினார் அதன்பிறகு நர்மதை கரையிலிருந்து இக்கோயில் கட்டி முடிக்க 34வருடங்கள் ஆனதாம் பின்னர் ஆலயத்தை கட்டி முடித்தார். இங்குள்ள விமானத்தின் உயரம் சுமார் 216 அடி .முதலில் இத்தலத்தை ராஜராஜசோழன் வழிப்பட்டதால் ராஜராஜேஸ்வரமுடையார் எனும் பெயர் உண்டு.இவ்வாலயத்தை பெரிய கோயில் என்றே அழைப்பர் மூலவர் பிரமாண்டமாக காட்சி அளிப்பதால் பெருவுடையார் என்றழைக்கப்படுகிறார் பிரகதீஸ்வரர் என்ற பெயரும் இவருக்கு உண்டு.இங்குள்ள கருவறை விமானம் பிரமீடு வடிவத்தில் அமைந்திருப்பதால் இங்கு நிழல் கீழே விழாது கருவறையில் சந்திரகாந்தகல் அமைந்துள்ளது.கோடை காலத்தில் குளிர்ச்சியாகவும் குளிர் காலத்தில் வெப்பமாகவும் அமைந்துள்ளது. இக்கோயில் யுனேஸ்கோவின் பாரம்பரிய சின்னமாக விளங்குகிறது.இத்தலத்தில் கருவூரார் சித்தர் சன்னதி அமைந்துள்ளது இவர்தான் இக்கோயில் உருவாக காரணமாக இருந்தார் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.இக்கோயிலில் தனிச்சன்னதியில் அருளும் வாராகி தனிச்சிறப்புடன் திகழ்கிறார் காசிக்கு அடுத்து தனிச்சன்னதியில் வாராகி அருள்வது இங்கு மட்டும் தான் ராஜராஜசோழன் இவரை வழிப்பட்டப்பிறகே போரில் வென்றார். இங்குள்ள வாராகியை வழிப்பட்டால் நீதிமன்ற வழக்கு வாழ்வில் தடைகள் நீங்கும். ➡️ இக்கோயில் சுற்றுலா தலமாகவும் ஆண்மிகத்தலமாகவும் இது திகழ்கிறது. - @south_indiantemples_ on Instagram

•चिंतामणी (थेऊर)• The Chintamani Temple of Theur is a Hindu temple dedicated to Ganesha, the elephant-headed god of wisdom. Located 25 km (16 mi) from Pune, the temple is one of the larger and more famous of the Ashtavinayaka, the eight revered shrines of Ganesha in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The temple lore describes how Ganesha retrieved the wish-giving jewel Chintamani for his devotee, the sage Kapila from the greedy king Gana and how he pacifies the uneasy mind of the god Brahma, who meditated on him in Theur. The temple is associated with the Ganapatya saint Morya Gosavi (dated between 13th to 17th century). Though the temple is believed to have existed since antiquity, the current structure of the temple was built by him or his descendant. •लेण्याद्रीचा गिरिजात्मज• Legend has it, Shri Girijatmaj Lenyadri Ganpati Temple was the same place where Goddess Parvati meditated for 12 years for a child. Thats how Ganesha was born. And it is from the same incident the temple is known as ‘Girijatmaj’ - ‘Girija’ meaning Devi Parvati and ‘Aatmaj’ meaning son. To reach the main sanctum of the temple, pilgrims will have to climb a flight of 338 stairs. Right in front of the temple, there are two water reservoirs that remain covered with water. There are approximately eighteen rooms in the main temple hall (also known as Sabhamandap), which were used by saints for tapascharya. In one of the rooms, tourists can find the rock statue of Shri Girijatmaj Lenyadri Ganapati. All the 30 Lenyadri Caves including the Shri Girijatmaj Lenyadri Ganpati Temple is under the control of the Archaeological Survey of India. Do not miss to buy the locally harvested grapes, black raisins, Sapottas (Chikus) at the base of the mountains. When it comes to Shri Girijatmaj Lenyadri Ganpati Temple, the structure forms an arresting work of art while the landscape provides the frame. Thus, forming beautiful painting that attracts a good number of not only the pilgrims but historians too. Moreover, it has many laurels attached to it like the only Ganesha temple tucked in the caves; the abode of the Pandavas and the spot where goddess Parvati prayed for 12 years for a child.
