About 3 years ago I was a shattered burned out shell. I had finally found the strength to leave a toxic, abusive & codependent relationship It took every ounce of my being to walk away, which I had been gathering up for years.That’s how it is with unhealthy relationships we have with anything (partners, food, our bodies, family, alcohol, drugs...etc) . It’s a journey, gathering up the pieces of your power you let go of or tucked away to survive what you were going through . I was exhausted in every sense of the word. My whole medicine wheel was depleted. I could barely tear myself off the couch to teach yoga & the moment I got home I’d fall into sleep again . But though it was tough to find the energy to teach, it was yoga & that community that saved me & gave me a reason to keep moving forward. I’d practice at home & the studio several hours a week & I’d cry my heart out in grief & gratitude that my healing journey was moving deeper . Living in codependency is a multi layered reality. It’s very easy to point your finger at the other person & see all their faults & what they need to heal. Seeing yourself as a codependent & enabler is much harder. I suppose it’s always like that - we don’t want to see our own blind spots. . It’s hard, humbling & painful. But that is the yoga practice. It’s not the ever lasting peaceful oasis people often make it out to be. Yoga is a reckoning with yourself . When you come to my classes, you will often find my drum beside my mat now. You see, I cant paint galaxies, & shade them with intricate metaphors I dont know how to teleport you to another dimension with the mere flick of my magic-word-wand I cant dress up demons in fancy garments, I am not in league with dictionaries or libraries They refuse to lend me their wisdom shower me with words at the drop of my heart But, if I were to scribble something right away I fret, it might sound a lot like a love poem And I am no love poet or a poet for that matter Love, hope, happy endings stopped their trades with me Quite some time ago I was a poor customer, you see My consent and I sell too cheap So, I never possessed the stencils to color rainbows, filling them up with glitter shaded daisies. paint butterflies and unicorns fluttering about or conjure cotton candy flavored star dust I struggle to bedazzle the hideous shadows with ingenious rhymes Instead, youll find me dancing bare feet with the haunting ghosts of melancholia in the shadow of the blown-out moon. NARUTO SHIPPUDEN / FEW MONTHS BEFORE SHIPPUDEN / . I had this one for a long time but never actually posted it bc i wanted to post the full scene ! But well ... . . Context : This is after a fight with Aya, where Yukiko kinda said all she had against everyone in her family. Then she turned to Gaara and confessed her feelings, + said she was sorry she ever happened in his life. He didnt say anything in front of the others, he just let her vent and say all shes been bottling up against her relatives. Then after an ultimate punchline from Aya who hit a sensitive point, Yukiko fled to the forest to breath. There she could just hide in her thorns and unleash her anger. Gaara talked a bit with Ayas husband about the situation. Should he give her space or come after her? They concluded she needs comfort + it would proof her how much he cares. So he did. He found her hiding behind her thorns crying. And he assured her he wasnt sorry she came in his life, knew it wouldnt be easy (they are kind of an impossible couple desert boy x albino girl) but he was ready to fight for her, and support her into healing from her traumas, yet respecting her boundaries and letting her the possibility to flee. Its his modest way of confessing his feelings, he will only tell her literally later. This is short before they kissed for the first time. . Credits : Gaaras part is an edit from the anime. The materials are of high quality and dont look fake. 🚫 this costume is super heavy and can be hot, I dont recommend wearing it at summer convention or it hot weather ✔ EVERYTHIG fit perfectly, even the pants! After MONTHS of endless embroidery and beading and trips to Joann Fabrics for more embroidery floss and crystal beads, the bolero portion of Sansa’s coronation dress is (nearly) complete. The only thing I have left to do is create the braided trim for the sleeve edges and embellish it work even more crystals. . Can’t go wrong with more sparkles, right? . I’m also really happy with the fox head, which actually doubles as a zippered pouch where I can store some small items during conventions. I live beneath waters edge, I thrive in safety of Obscure and Silence. I occasionally disturb Peace In necessity for breath. I am visible only by ripples of Consequence. I aspire for Luminance. I was not born in Darkness And I will not die drowning. I will rise. You think me sweet, but I am flavoured sour. A taste so bitter you suck in your cheeks, Your eyes exude salt, And you cough gasping for relief. You mistake my lack of voice For weakness of frail daisies At mercy of the sun. No. I am humidity scorching flowers. I am the hurricane all mortals fear, And you will cower with daisies When hail disintegrates their delicate petals, And birds become featherless in flight. Fear me, as I fear myself. I am a force not to be reckoned with. Mother Nature herself is repulsed By her ungodly creation. A storm knows no bounds And I do not know mine. I am glittering shards of glass Polluting onyx sands of night terrors. I gush from grip Of Boogeymans sullied hands. I bleed into reality. You call me Hell Pleading for insomnia, But I am the torturous sting in blinking eyes. Pray Sandmans formidable endeavours are victorious, And I am returned To Silence under dismal waters. The echo of shattered hearts Will hemorrhage from all ears. There is no beauty to my disgraceful havoc.
