#shepropchallenge day 24, favorite wig. Now, I tend to gravitate towards short hair wigs, I like costumes where the wig wont get tangled and I dont have to worry about it. However, there are a few monsters Ive tackled. The most challenging was Uma. Its gone through a few versions before I reached the end goal, but it looks great. In the beginning, I wanted to make it all out of yarn. I made a whole wig, and then realized I couldnt dye it the way I needed to. So its sitting in a box. Then I moved on to an ombre Amazon wig for the sake of getting it done, with the intention of completing it later. I actually weaved my Mermista wig into my base for more hair, it was sorta an emergency wig styling at colossal lol. For dragon con last year, I finally did it. I got 3 wefts from Adra, sewed them in and braided the whole thing, adding the proper accessories. Theres over 80 braids in this wig, and yes, its heavy. While many people I know love Spirited Away or Totoro, I think Princess Mononoke is actually my favorite of the Ghibli movies! The soundtrack especially is one of my favorites, and Ive probably rewatched this one more than any other Ghibli movie.⠀ ⠀ Designs are the forest spirits and Princess Mononokes mask.
