Picar o papel durante a semana, preparar as bandeiras, entrar pelo Belini, subir a rampa e assim que entrava no tunel, aquele sentimento do infinito e de repente em todo seu esplendor, lotado, entrando na arquibancada e ficando sempre na Raça bem perto da Charanga, ouvindo o misto dos cantos da RRN misturando os Funks da época e os Sambas da cidade junto as marchinhas da torcida mais antiga do país. O entrar das bandeiras, o cheiro dos sinalizadores, os fogos, o balão que nao poderia jamais bater na marquise para não dar azar, e o grande momento, a entrada dos times, a catarse total, os santos baixando no gramado do Maior do Mundo. E quantos jogos com mais de 150 mil pessoas eu estive? La vi de Zico, Roberto, a Ézio, Savio a Tulio Maravilha, e até joguei com uma latinha de coca cola no tunel da tribuna com o Garrichinha, filho do Grande Mané, enquanto meu pai conversava com sua mãe Elza Soares, semanas antes de Garrinchinha morrer tragicamente em um acidente… mas o mais importante eram nós os torcedores, nós da cidade desigual, da cidade de Caboclos e Pomba Gira, eram nós que fazíamos desse espaço uma das maiores Entidades da cidade. O Maraca era geral, e era a Geral. Mas oque fizeram com você nosso querido amigo? Te assassinaram! ഇന്ത്യൻ വോളിബോളിൽ എണ്ണം പറഞ്ഞ വളരെ അധികം താരങ്ങളും നമ്മുടെ സ്വന്തം മലയാളികൾ ആയിരുന്നു. ഇന്നും ഇന്ത്യയിലുള്ള ഒട്ടു മിക്കവാറും ടീമുകളിൽ മലയാളി താരങ്ങൾ പ്രമുഖ സ്ഥാനത്ത് ആണ് ഉള്ളത്. എങ്കിലും 1924 ൽ ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ഗവണ്മെന്റ് ആരംഭിച്ച ദേശീയ ഗെയിംസിൽ കേരള പുരുഷന്മാർ വോളിബോൾ വിജയികളായി പേര് എഴുതി ചേർത്തത് ഒരേ ഒരു തവണ മാത്രം ആണ്..1985 നവംബർ 19 മുതൽ നവംബർ 26 വരെ ഡൽഹിയിൽ നടന്ന ഇരുപത്തി ആറാമത് നാഷണൽ ഗെയിംസിൽ ആണ് ആ ചരിത്ര വിജയം പിറന്നത് അതിന് ശേഷം നീണ്ട 35 വർഷങ്ങൾ പിന്നിട്ടു എങ്കിലും നമുക്ക് പിന്നീട് ഒരു വിജയം എത്തി പിടിക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചില്ല.1985ൽ യാതൊരു മുന്നൊരുക്കങ്ങളും കൂടാതെ പലടീമുകളിൽ നിന്നും എത്തിയ താരങ്ങൾ കോച്ച് കെ എസ് സേതു മാധവൻ സാറിന്റെ കീഴിൽ ഡൽഹിക്ക് തിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. റെയിൽവേ ടീമിൽ നിന്നും കേരള പോലീസ് ടീമിൽ ചേർന്ന ശേഷം നടന്ന ആദ്യ മത്സരത്തിൽ കേരള ടീമിൽ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട ഉദയ കുമാറും, സിറിൾ സി വള്ളൂരും, അബ്ദുൾ റസാഖും അടങ്ങിയ താര നിര അത്ര വലിയ പ്രതീക്ഷകൾ ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാതെ ഉദയകുമാറിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ആണ് മത്സരത്തിന് ഇറങ്ങിയത്.മൂന്ന് സെറ്റർമാർ അടങ്ങിയ ടീമിനെ ടൈറ്റാനിയം താരം ജോമി പി എബ്രഹാം ആയിരുന്നു കളിപ്പിച്ചത്. പതിയെ തുടങ്ങിയ കേരളം ഗെയിംസിന്റെ ആകർഷണ കേന്ദ്രം ആയത് പെട്ടെന്നായിരുന്നു. കളത്തിലിറങ്ങിയ അബ്ദുൾ റസാഖും ഉദയകുമാറും, സിറിൾ സി വള്ളൂരും, ജോൺസൺ ജേക്കബും ഡാനിക്കുട്ടി ഡേവിഡും നല്ല കളി തന്നെ കാഴ്ച വച്ചപ്പോൾ വിഖ്യാത താരങ്ങൾ ഉള്ള എല്ലാ ടീമുകളോടും പോരാടി കേരളം സെമി ഫൈനലിലേക്കും തുടർന്ന് ഫൈനലിലേക്കും എത്തി ചേർന്നു.ബൽക്കാർ സിംഗും, ഓം പ്രകാശും, സന്ദീപ് ശർമ്മയും ദലീൽ സിംഗും ഉജ്വല ഫോമിൽ കളിച്ചിരുന്ന ഹരിയാന ടീമിനെ ആണ് കേരളത്തിന് ഫൈനലിൽ എതിരാളി ആയി കിട്ടിയത്.വലിയ പ്രതീക്ഷകൾ ഇല്ലാതെ ആണ് കേരളം ഫൈനൽ മത്സരത്തിന് ഇറങ്ങിയത്.ബൽക്കാർ സിംഗിന്റെ കോർട്ട് പിളർക്കുന്ന അറ്റാക്കും ആയി ആദ്യ ഘട്ടത്തിൽ മുൻതൂക്കം ഹരിയാന നേടിയപ്പോൾ വോളിബോൾ ജീവിതത്തിലെ ഒരിക്കലും മറക്കാനാവാത്ത ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച പ്രകടനവും ആയി അബ്ദുൾ റസാഖ് കളം നിറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ കേരളം പതിയെ ഒപ്പത്തിനൊപ്പം എത്തി. വിട്ടു കൊടുക്കാൻ തയ്യാറാകാതെ ഇരു ടീമുകളും ഇഞ്ചോടിഞ്ച് മുന്നേറിയ അഞ്ച് സെറ്റ് നീണ്ട മത്സരത്തിൽ കേരളം വിജയികൾ ആകുകയായിരുന്നു പവർഫുൾ അറ്റാക്കുകളിലൂടെ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ ഫിനിഷിങ് നടത്തി അബ്ദുൾ റസാഖ് കളം നിറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ഉദയകുമാറും സിറിൾ സി വള്ളൂരും ജോൺസൺ ജേക്കബും ഡാനിക്കുട്ടി ഡേവിഡും ശക്തമായ പിന്തുണയുമായി സജീവമായിരുന്നു. മത്സരം മുറുകുമ്പോൾ വരുന്ന പാസുകൾ അബ്ദുൾ റസാഖിന് ഫീഡ് ചെയ്യുന്ന ജോലിയെ തനിക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ എന്നാണ് മത്സരത്തെ കുറിച്ച് - @volleyballkerala on Instagram
