JOY DIVISION con CLOSER: un epitafio hacia la eternidad 🎧🌟🖤 Para cuando se grabó este disco histórico, en 12 dias durante marzo de 1980, la situación en el seno de JD se encontraba en un exasperante punto de dualidad: el grupo era una máquina sonora que se llevaba todo por delante, con una oscuridad y cuota parte de desesperación notable que lo hacía más morbosamente atractivo aún, y a punto de tomar el mercado norteamericano de un solo golpe con una inminente gira a bordo de su discazo debut Unknown Closer, lanzado sólo unos meses antes. Pero en paralelo, el estado de salud de su cantante con sus ataques de epilepsia y el pozo depresivo en el que se encontraba sumido -y la intriga que ese péndulo anímico traía consigo- lo ponía todo en duda no habiendo certeza alguna de solución de continuidad. En ese contexto tan poco proyectable los de Manchester grabaron Closer, dos meses antes de un suicidio que dejó pasmados a todos y que los obligó a una profunda introspección personal y profesional. Si Unknown Pleasures bucea en las nervaduras del alma y las deja expuestas a quien las quiera ver, Closer te empuja al frío cadalso de la muerte ya desde su excepcional portada, nuevamente a cargo de Peter Saville, quien diseñó esa profunda premonición en abstracto sobre la base de una fotografía de una escultura de la familia Appiani, del cementerio de Génova, sin haber escuchado nada del nuevo disco y obviamente sin adivinar la decisión final de Ian Curtis. Lanzado en julio del ‘80, el LP es tan lúgubre y bello como estremecedor, y forma parte de lo mejor que dejó el post punk como legado. «Романс о влюбленных» был, пожалуй, самым успешным фильмом из всех, что я снял в Советском Союзе, если оценивать с точки зрения отклика у зрителей. Его посмотрели, наверное, десятки миллионов людей. Я до сих пор получаю письма от тех, кому сейчас 50, 60, 70 лет. Люди говорят: «Я помню, что смотрел ваш фильм, когда мне было десять». Кто-то пишет: «Я посмотрел его 8 раз, когда мне было пятнадцать». Этот фильм был молодежным, романтическим, в достаточной степени необычным, сделанным в виде некой рок-оперы. Многие критики издевались, что я снял фильм «Шербурские танки», потому что в этом кино была даже большая сцена с армейскими учениями: с танками, со всем на свете. В первой версии сценария, который я получил, фильм заканчивался смертью героя от любви: «Я умираю, потому что любовь уходит». Такой был финал. Я стал думать о том, что же меня в этом финале не устраивает. Поделился сомнениями со сценаристом, Женей Григорьевым: «Ты знаешь, человек, действительно, умирает от любви. Но он умирает не физически, у него умирает душа, а сам он остается жить – с умершей душой». Вода ушла, песок остался. И мы придумали другой вариант окончания: любовь умерла, ушла, и герой живет без любви. Но как живет человек, в котором умерла любовь? Как бездушный автомат. Когда человек влюблен, когда его жизнь освещена любовью, то мир для него полон надежд и красок. Saddened to hear of the passing of Helen Reddy. Not only was she a world-class recording artist (go download her music), but she was an extraordinarily kind human being. About ten years ago, Helen came in to record a song for an episode of Family Guy. At the time, my mom, a big Reddy fan, was in the hospital battling cancer. Upon learning this, Helen picked up the phone right then and there and asked me to call the number. My mom was absolutely ecstatic, and Helen talked with her for a generous amount of time. Danke @munich2022 ❤️ Es war ein verrücktes Gefühl, die eigenen Klänge durch das ganze Stadion schallen zu hören. Heute dürfen wir nochmal ins Olympiastadion zur @sommerbuehneimstadion, wo wir beim @munich.warehouse Labelabend zusammen mit @__geistha__ und @nico.laska endlich wieder ein großes Open Air spielen können. Kommt alle vorbei, der Eintritt ist frei und es gibt noch Plätze für Kurzentschlossene. Publikum und Bühne sind überdacht, no rain will stop us. Siendo HiedraH Club de Baile un colectivo de artistas y sello musical que nació en pos de configurar una fisura en la lógica racista, heteronormada y clasista de los espacios y entornos relacionados al club en Buenos Aires, sentimos que apocopar nuestro objetivo en un hashtag no es suficiente. Hablar de racismo en Argentina es una deuda pendiente de la política del Estado de las cosas, pero también del activismo nacido en el seno de la clase media porteña. Seguimos anclados en una cultura que invisibiliza las identidades marronas, negras y originarias y que educa aún hoy en una pedagogía negacionista del genocidio afro-originario. El territorio se disputa entre un centro acromático dónde se acaudala el poder y una vasta periferia que se alimenta del imaginario persistente del “Interior”, como una máquina de producción detrás de la careta blanca de esta ciudad atomizada. Hoy, en plena pandemia del COVID19, la represión estatal apunta a las comunidades originarias, a lxs marrones, a lxs villerxs. Hay un paralelismo en todo esto: las balas son del estado blanco contra sus antiguos esclavos de color. Todos, incluso con las diferencias estructurales de nuestras realidades, somos sujetos de esta enunciación. Brindamos y nos enorgullecemos de nuestrxs compañerxs de la diáspora que hoy protestan en las calles de Estados Unidos. Nos gustaría estar allí con ustedes sintiendo latir la calle bajo nosotrxs. El desafío de esta nueva década será la supervivencia de la protesta como herramienta frente a la beneficencia que plantea el oxímoron del activismo asimilacionista.
