The Putto Fountain and Semicircular Seat at Tudor Place. The Fountain, designed by Armistead Peter 3rd (1896-1983) in the early 1960s, features a bronze cast statue modeled after Andrea del Verrocchio’s 15th century Putto with Dolphin, found at the Pallazo Vecchio in Florence, Italy. The Semicircular Seat on the other side of the pathway from the Putto Fountain was constructed during the time of Martha Custis Peter (1777-1854) and Thomas Peter (1769-1834), the first owners of Tudor Place; it was rebuilt by Armistead Peter 3rd in the 1930s. веселые танцы, красивые мужчины и дорогое вино - что ещё нужно хорошенькой девушке, которая приехала покорять столицу? итак, на сцене Парижа fun de siècle великолепная Ла Гулю от родителей девушке достались: имя Луиза Вебер, еврейские корни и работа прачкой. так себе наследство. но Луиза и из этого смогла сделать конфетку. пока она работала в прачечной, брала взаймы чужие вещи и уходила танцевать по небольшим ресторанчикам в одном из них она встретила Ренуара, который пригласил девушку стать натурщицей, да ещё и познакомил со всем Монмартром. так Луиза вышла на владельца кабаре «Мулен Руж», который дал начинающей танцовщице работу Луиза скромностью не страдала и в танце выделывала такие штуки, что руки зрителей сами лезли в кошелёк, а глаза на лоб. «Мулен Руж» прямо таки расцвёл благодаря новой звезде танцпола но был у девушки и один минус - она не стеснялась опустошать бокалы клиентов и ужинать за их счёт. поэтому Луиза и подучила своё прозвище La Goulue - обжора но это не мешало танцовщице коллекционировать поклонников. одним из них был художник Анри де Тулуз-Лотрек, который рисовал ее на всех своих плакатах - @ohladushek on Instagram
