4 years ago when sweet angel Mickey passed away, my heart was broken worse than I had ever felt before, and I was so lost. Then, one day at work this cute face popped up on my Facebook feed, surrendered by her owners and needing a home. Her name was Minnie and she was a Shih Tzu. I knew it was a sign that she was meant to be ours, and boy did that ever prove to be true! To know Minnie, is to know pure joy and happiness. She loves her life so much. Bought a binder full of old QSL cards at the Aberfoyle outdoor market. So much good graphic content, layouts and print output details - cool to see the little bits of hand writing and rubber stamp embellishments throughout ! All the honest wonky drawings and chosen handles are so endearing ! HAM Radio is a great subculture and community with pretty deep history, customs and international reach. I didn’t know anything about it at all ! There is a bit of work to getting certification so it does require a bit of time and commitment - but I do like the idea of it and have spent pockets of today thinking about what my handle and QSL card would look like. - @allister.a.lee on Instagram

D’être au Dal le matin et au match à midi .. On ne peut pas vivre ses premiers pas de papa avec la boule au ventre de laisser femme et enfant(s) à la maison encore pire quand les choses se compliquent .. On nous parle du post partum mais qu’en est il du Post part’ homme..? . Celui qui nous prend par surprise direct aux tripes .. Celui qui te transforme de l’intérieur quand une société ne te laisse que 14 jours pour être à l’aise de l’exprimer à l’extérieur.. Nous aussi on se mange une putain de claque. Nous aussi on cherche des repères, le lien qui rattachera ce nouveau né à nous.. On ne m’a pas demandé de couper le cordon.. On ne m’a pas demandé grand chose c’était l’urgence. Et quasiment le jour même je devais me rendre au taf.. les premiers jours à la maison, un mois après la naissance de mon fils, je lui portais encore une chaise sous sa douche et j’essayais de savonner ma femme qui ne pouvait même pas se laver.. je lui disais au revoir dans le lit le matin et l’a retrouvait dans la même position après mon entraînement le soir .. j’ai bcp bataillé pour tisser ce lien, pour me sentir utile et pour être le père dont mon fils avait besoin, le partenaire de ma femme et l’homme que la société voulait que je sois .. Ce soir le congé paternité est passé de 14 jours à 28 jours .. ça n’est pas encore le paradis, c’est toujours inégal .. mais c’est une VICTOIRE, je le dis haut et fort, merci de nous considérer un peu plus ce soir, nous les pères...
