Giant Pacific Octopus (Enteroctopus dofleini) are often timid and tuck deeper into their den when approached, but every now and then you get a curious octopus. Each of their eight arms are controlled by a large grouping of neurons (basically tiny brains, 1 per arm!) and their suckers are sensitive to both taste and touch, so curious individuals will often wrap up your camera and arms in their tentacles as they explore. - @lonelyspruce on Instagram

- When an Anglerfish finds a suitable mate, the male bites into her belly and latches on until his body fuses with hers. Their skin joins together, and so do their blood vessels, which allows the male to take all the nutrients he needs from his host/mates blood. The two fish essentially become one.

It’s name translates to “Meat-Eating Bull”, and is derived from the intimidating horns on its brows. Scientists are unsure what these horns were used for, with some suggesting they were used against competing Carnotaurus. Another unique feature are its severely reduced arms that were even smaller than Tyrannosaurus.
