These killings are NOT alright. It’s also not alright to shield our children from the reality of what is going on in this world and expect them to be able to understand empathy or change when they become adults. It’s also not okay to keep a cycle of hate, prejudice and racist ideals alive in our homes and communities and expect our kids to not learn those behaviors and thoughts. Captured out in the elements by the homie @flicksnkicks . Not gonna lie about how happy I am with the progress of this bike aka cafe racer that I built over the quarantine. Working on this project has helped keep my sanity over the past 3 months. Typically I would be running, traveling around doing DRC stuff, community back and forth to rockville for work, and out in the streets. It’s been tough processing and constantly being consumed with the amount of energy that comes with trying to figure out my role and voice in this time of protest to scream that our black existence matters to people that don’t look like me while being in quarantine and people are dying daily. It’s really been nice to work on a machine and make it look like I envision. It’s bad that I sometimes even felt bad to even speak about or post on here but I’m proud of it. And we have to continue to do things we like/love to do along side of being a voice in the movement. They can coincide. Xicaru Silver showcases 100% Maguey espadin. Its natural smoky flavor is derived by cooking the maguey in a conical stone oven on mesquite and ocote, woods native to Oaxaca. The cooked maguey is then tahona mashed, fermented naturally in open-air pine vats, and double-distilled over a wood fire. Xicaru Silver 102° differs from Xicaru Silver in the way it is distilled. A narrower cut is taken from the heart, where the alcohol, smoke and maguey are more concentrated. Die Zahlen häuslicher Gewalt an Frauen sind in Südafrika sehr hoch. Des Weiteren leben Frauen viel häufiger in Armut als Männer. WELCOME!! Ntsiki Biyela  (En-tee-kee Bee-ye-la) Ntsiki Biyela is the first Black woman to own a winery in South Africa. Ntsiki Biyela is the founder of Aslina Wines @aslina_wines Ntsiki came from a background of never drinking wine to studying winemaking at Stellenbosch University on a scholarship funded by South African Airways. She graduated in 2003 with a BSc in Agriculture (Viticulture and Oenology) and soon after joined Stellekaya Wines as an ambassador and winemaker. She stayed there for the next 13 years building her reputation and winning many awards before establishing Aslina Wines in 2017.  Aslina is the name of her late grandmother, who was and still remains her inspiration to this day. Ntsiki has overcome numerous obstacles and challenges in the process of advancing her career. From learning a new language virtually overnight, to dealing with racism and the stereotypes of what wine industry people and consumers felt a South African winemaker should look like. It is no exaggeration to say that Ntsiki Biyela is now a South African winemaking legend. We are very proud to represent Ntsiki and her wines here in California. The Pilot for a Day program at Whiteman Air Force Base works with St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in order to give children who are suffering from a variety of illnesses and disorders, the once in a lifetime opportunity to tour Whiteman AFB and step into the shoes of a B-2 pilot.
