Before moving to GA I prayed. Every day. See, I was a Christian, but I knew had strayed far from the Lord. Yes, I did a morning devotional. Yes, I made sure Jill did a bible study as well. But we were not involved in a local church, I was not being obedient, I was not LIVING OUT my faith. And I was convicted. So I prayed. I prayed that God would lead me to a church in GA and that He would give me the will to go faithfully. I prayed that we would find a loving community to be part of. I prayed that He would show me how I could serve Him and make a kingdom impact. You see, I knew there was a path I was supposed to be taking. A specific purpose He has for me. But I let fear lead me away from that path. PRAISE GOD MY GOD IS A FAITHFUL AND FORGIVING GOD! He brought me back to my home church from 12 years ago, and I am not ashamed to say my first morning back I sat and just cried through the service while He worked in my heart. He gave us pastors that love, and do not judge, and are passionate to share God’s truth. And then He literally SURROUNDED us with people, primarily from Christ Place Church, that not only accepted me and Jill with open arms, but loved us, unconditionally. And poured into us. They were there when I cried, they were there when Jill was saved, and baptized, they are an answer to my prayers. And He is slowly but surely giving me more and more opportunity to share the Gospel with others, and to step further into my calling. Looking back, I can see how God has been preparing me along the way. He has put me in situations (and used situations I put myself in) to grow. And to learn. And sometimes just to be still and listen. He has given me small things, before giving me bigger things. He has revealed to me that I do not have to worry, or be anxious...I just have to love him and follow Him. And I do. And I will.
