There were some good measures relating to the thoroughness of information signage, availability of hand sanitiser, and adherence to face mask usage. On this day in 2019, car 4178 was unveiled to the public at Roncesvalles Carhouse. Fans from all over the city flocked to the yard on that rainy Saturday afternoon to catch a glimpse of the new and improved 4178. After that day @ourstreetcar ran on the 506 Carlton and 511 Bathurst on weekdays and 501 Queen on occasional weekends. She now resides at the Halton County Streetcar Museum. 👋🏼Bye bye, Bauhaus: Filiale in der Kurfürsten-Anlage geschlossen❌ Die Schaufenster sind leer. Nur noch ein paar Preisschilder erinnern daran, was hier zuvor ausgestellt worden ist. Die Türen sind geschlossen und man sucht vergebens nach einem „Geschlossen“-Schild oder eine Danksagung an die treuen Kunden. Immer wieder stehen Personen vor der Tür, gucken irritiert durch die Scheibe und suchen ein Schild mit den Öffnungszeiten. Doch das Bauhaus in der Kurfürsten-Anlage wird nicht mehr öffnen! Am Samstag (16. November) haben sich hier zum letzten Mal die Pforten geschlossen – das Ende für das zweiälteste Bauhaus Deutschlands. Wie es konkret mit dem Gebäude weitergehen soll, nachdem „Diringer & Scheidel“ es mittlerweile gekauft haben, ist noch völlig unklar.
