Here we see a very atmospheric photo of the #WWII #memorial #sculpture which is titled Monument to the Fallen Fighters and Victims of Fascism from Slabinja, which honors the local people of this village who perished at the hands of Axis forces and their collaborators during the Peoples Liberation Struggle (1941-1945). The work consists of a roughly 15m tall stainless steel spire bisected by a red #concrete #triangle. This work is in a poor condition and even has been marred by bullet holes in some areas. Tess is currently studying to sit the Architectural Practice Examination, and if successful, hopes to register as an architect in the coming months. Juggling study and work with a little one can be tricky at times, but she loves sharing stories of her work with her son Ollie, who is particularly fascinated with concrete mixers. Tess is looking forward to travelling again soon, so that she can tick off a few more of her buildings and cities from her bucket list. Some of her favourites shes managed to visit so far include La Sagrada Familia in Spain, Tokyos Nagakin Capsule Tower and the Colosseum in Rome.
