What a day .......!!!!!!! Got the 2nd time in qualifying practice. In the first moto I started from 8 and took the lead after a several laps but unfortunately lost it in the last lap so than I became 2nd. I started the 2nd moto as 4th and finished 2nd which led me to the overall victory. 🏆After I was honored on the top step they told me that the 3rd man of the 2nd moto got a 5 place penalty for the noise, so I didnt become the overall winner but had to step back for the 2nd place. It was a hot one at the @p27offroad in New York this weekend! Track was really fast and super dry and dusty. The temprature was about 95 degrees and super humid! First moto i got a little excited and crashed a few times but then i calmed down and started to ride smooth. WW RANCH, FL P.3 and P.3 for 2nd overall the weekend didn’t start as planned after a big crash in practice. We didn’t really know what to expect for the motos but we gave everything to save as many points as possible. Two good starts did help to fight up front. Tried my best to ride as smooth and consistant as possible, and ended 3rd in both motos for a 2nd place overall. Story time - About 6 years ago after some strong finishes in the Novice classes at the Oatfield @vurbmoto Classic, @mcclellanhile won the Race Tech Shocking Performance Award. We began a relationship that took him to graduating onto a factory supported amateur team. Immediately after capturing a championship at Loretta Lynn’s, Hile stepped away from the team to move forward as a privateer where he can choose the companies he works with and the parts that go on his bike. Immediately his bikes were back at Race Tech for engines and suspension. Hile turned pro at the LL2 national in the swaps of Tennessee. Last weekend at Ironman, Hile qualified for his first career 450 national and was in the mix to score points both motos. His KTM 450 is equipped with Race Tech suspension and engines. It has been a fun journey, and the story is far from over. Today is McClellan’s birthday.
