Michelle was a huge @marcanthony fan. At a Puerto Rican music festival in Miami back in the 90s Marc Anthony brought Michelle on stage and sang a song to her, i dont remember which one. He even helped push her wheelchair onstage, she was so unbelievably happy. This photo was even featured in a local magazine. That was a beautiful moment in her life. 30 years ago, my Grandmother took delivery of her very first Range Rover, a 1990 Beluga Black County shown above. I don’t think she would have ever thought that 30 years later, she’d be buying her 8th one. If she hadn’t taken a chance on the low-volume, obscure British SUV, I know I would not be accepting a job at Jaguar Land Rover Princeton as their Encore and Marketing Specialist, as I am today. It’s a start that I hope will lead to a long career with Jaguar Land Rover and possibly, one day, to JLR corporate. I have to give a huge thank you to my Grandma, @landroverprinceton @kjpantano @gatherer_conti, and to everyone else who has advised and supported me in this process. Después de perder una pierna a causa del cáncer, Fox se embarcó en el “Maratón de la esperanza”, un viaje histórico a través de Canadá para crear conciencia y obtener dinero para la investigación del cáncer. Terry Fox, nacido el 28 de julio de 1958 en Winnipeg, Manitoba, era un competidor natural conocido por su compromiso y su feroz ética de trabajo. The editors of Detour Magazine wanted Keanu Reeves on their cover in May 1993. He was in the Kenneth Branagh-directed Shakespeare vehicle, Much Ado About Nothing. Photographer Greg Gorman booked a loft space in downtown Los Angeles for the studio shoot. I wish I was riding my bike [around Malibu],” Reeves told Gorman (as recounted to @joebrennarghh in a recent interview). ⠀ The photographer suggested they pack up and head out to Malibu where Reeves could freewheel on his red vintage Norton motorcycle. They drove the hour from downtown LA to Malibu — despite the hefty studio fees — and once there, Reeves began posing a lot more enthusiastically, performing for the camera. ⠀ Halfway through the shoot, Reeves began removing his pants to change outfits, so Gorman put down his camera. “Shoot it, you can shoot it,” Reeves said. Gorman continued snapping, and caught Reeves mid-pants-drop. ⠀ When Gorman submitted the images to Detour, he thought the publisher would refuse the pictures. He called up Reeves to get his approval. “I love them,” he said. “[Gorman] wants you to feel comfortable, so he directs a lot of attention to that,” Reeves told Detour of the shoot. “He sets up a situation thats very easy to be in. If you are feeling self-conscious or uncomfortable, he tries to make it so youre not. basketball has been a major part of my life for the last 27 years. we’ve had a strange relationship, i didn’t really care for sports growing up. i was more interested in running on all fours through the forest in my backyard or playing legend of zelda. but basketball was always there. the fact that i had the opportunity to play in high school, prep school, four years of NCAA D1, and eight years professionally, is a miracle in itself, as i never imagined i’d make it this far. so this is my official retirement from basketball. i must say that I’m pretty proud of what i accomplished. but i wouldn’t have been who i was as a player if it weren’t for every single person who coached and guided me through the years, especially my late high school coach bob farias as well as @steviehailey during my pro career. my family being there to support me no matter what, even when they were 7000 miles away. most importantly my dad, who encouraged and pushed me from the beginning; instilling his unwavering work ethic inside me. never missing a game if he was within driving distance. i wouldn’t have made it without him. i have no regrets. playing a game revolving around putting a leather ball through an iron ring ten feet off the ground has brought me countless gifts that i will treasure forever. it’s time i hang up the jersey and walk toward the white light in basketball heaven. it’s been almost a year that i’ve been living in los angeles pursuing some monstrous goals and i have a lot of exciting things coming up. like i said before, i’m right where i’m supposed to be and i couldn’t be more excited about the future to come. 🇮🇹 grazie a tutti i miei tifosi italiani nel corso degli anni. ho un profondo apprezzamento per tutte le nostre esperienze insieme. tornerò in italia a visitare presto e spero di vedervi tutti! 🇮🇹 all love - #letdaneplay - @dd on Instagram

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Terry Foxs Marathon of Hope and today marks the 39th anniversary of the Terry Fox Run. Writer @susan_l_goldberg caught up with local doctor, Geoff Davis, who recounted his visit to Foxs room at @theprincearthurhotel after Fox ended his legendary marathon just east of Thunder Bay. Welcome @southbankschool as they do their Terry Fox School Run next Tuesday and Wednesday in Central London! Terry was 18 years old when he was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma in his right leg. After having surgery to remove his leg at Royal Columbian Hospital, he received chemotherapy treatment in Vancouver at the BC Cancer Agency cancer clinic. It was here that he saw the suffering of children with cancer. It was here he decided he had to make a difference. “I could not leave [that cancer ward] knowing these faces and feelings would still exist, even though I would be set free from mine. Somewhere the hurting must stop.” In 1980, it was in this spirit of compassion that Terry ran his Marathon of Hope. In 1981, the same spirit of compassion was lit in teachers and students, who invited Terry and his mission inside schools across Canada. The Terry Fox School Run was born, and has been a shining light for cancer research for four decades. This September, our usual “Back to School” plans are anything but usual. But schools are still there for Terry. Teachers and students in schools across Canada and the world are finding ways to continue the tradition in a safe, educational and empowering way throughout the month. Pada tahun 1985, tepatnya tahun Nike mengeluarkan salah satu lineup yang memorable sepanjang masa yaitu “Be True To Your School”. Ada beberapa collage yang “dibuatkan” sepatu oleh Nike dengan colorway mereka masing-masing. Salah satunya University of Kentucky! Dengan identity color nya yaitu Putih dan Biru. Nah dan ternyata ada 1 lagi versi PE sample nya, uppernya menggunakan upper Nike Dunk tetapi midsole menggunakan Air Force 1 makanya diberi nama “Air Dunk”. Nike Dunk Kentucky Player Exclusive ini dibuat dengan detail yang berbeda lho dari Kentucky Dunk lainnya, salah satu detail unik ada pada tag nya yang diberikan gambar “Wildcat”. PE atau Player Exclusive saat itu hanya diberikan kepada Player dan Team Management, tidak seperti sekarang banyak selebrity juga bisa dapetin seri PE tersebut. Tapi emang perlu kita beri applause kepada salah satu teman kita @ericjohanes, karena dia ternyata punya “Unicorn” dalam list koleksinya lho! Gimana pendapat kalian?
