The weekend at Zandvoort is a difficult one to swallow. Very good pace the whole weekend improving lap after lap. Didn’t maximise our pace in qualifying one which prevented us from finishing higher than 7th in race 1. In qualifying 2 I managed to maximise the pace finishing third which is also the position I was running on in the race until an engine issue made me retire. The positives are that the pace was really good and we were always fighting for the top👊🏼 - @paularon_ on Instagram

Deux solutions: concourir en catégorie inférieur lmp2, ou construire une nouvelle voiture...mais sans argent, plus facile à dire qu à faire! •Malgré tout, la Pescarolo 03 voit le jour: un châssis dAston Martin AMR-One amélioré, motorisé par le nouveau V8 Judd de 3,4 L. Lidéal serait dengager une seconde Pescarolo 03. Mais faute de moyens financiers, le Pescarolo Team achete et prépare une Dome S102.5 de 2008. •La Pescarolo 03 n°16 pilotée par Emmanuel Collard et Stuart Hall, a failli ne pas prendre le départ à cause dun problème moteur. Elle se qualifie tout de même 13ème, et la Dome n°17 de Nicolas Minassian, Sébastien Bourdais et Seiji Ara signe le 10 ème temps. •Départ extrêmement compliqué, la Pescarolo 03 part bon dernier depuis les stands pour avoir changé des pièces sur le V8 Judd. Mais 15 minutes plus tard, la Dome perd de la puissance et se fait rattraper par les lmp2. La voiture est rentré dans son box pour 30 minutes. •Vers 18h, cest lautre Pescarolo qui rentre au stand à cause du même problème. Cest un cercle vicieux infernal, le problème de puissance est introuvable! •En fin de soirée, la n°16 abrége le supplice, la Pescarolo vient sécraser dans le mur à Indianapolis: la colonne de direction a cassé... •En pleine nuit, la Dome continue les problèmes moteurs: la voiture fait 1 tour, rentre au stand pour réparer, repart pour 1 tour, avant de rentrer à nouveau... Au bout de 3h defforts inutiles, les mécaniciens jettent léponge... •5 min avant la fin des 24h, la Dome quitte son stand pour boucler un ultime tour. Un tour symbolique qui marque tristement la fin du Pescarolo Team. Le team Joest vient avec une voiture ouverte, la R8R et le team UK vient avec lAudi R8C(à voir sur le compte de @lemans24passion). Étant sur les mêmes bases, les 2 prototypes sont propulsés par des V8 turbo de 3.6L de cylindrée et dispose du même châssis, seul laérodynamisme différencie les deux voitures. Mais pendant la course, les R8R savéreront plus efficace que ses consœurs puisque les R8C ne verront pas larrivée et les R8C termineront en 3e et 4e place avec la n°8 qui montera sur le podium. En voyant ça, Audi décidera de créer suite à ça, la très célèbre R8, qui dominera la Sarthe pendant plusieurs années et marquera la magnifique histoire de cette course mythique... Les 2 chassis construits ( M12-001 et M12-002) possède un V8 Ford Cosworth de 3.9 L de cylindrée. Bien que le bolide étais jugé un peu lourd, son aérodynamique avancé à laide de la nouvelle découverte de leffet de sol lui permettait datteindre les 340km/h en ligne droite. Ainsi, Harley Cluxton, propriétaire du GTC ayant racheté Gulf Research Racing (ou autrefois appelé John Wyer Automotive) engagea un seul modèle pour lépreuve mancelle (la deuxième voiture étais uniquement présente en tant que voiture de rechange). Coté équipage, le Champion du Monde de Formule 1 #MarioAndretti 1978 prendra part à létape accompagné de son fils Michael. Mais, malgré le 9ème temps des essais, le bolide sera disqualifié 20minutes avant le départ de lépreuve! About last weekend: Actiongeladen war auch wieder das vergangene Wochenende in der @gtc.race auf dem @nuerburgring. Am Freitag gab es das Goodyear 60-Rennen, das zu einem doppelten Podium führte. Zum ersten Mal ging unser McLaren 720S GT3 an den Start. Die #69 von @bradleyellis1 und Klaus Halsig/ @twssracing überquerte die Linie auf P3 in der SemiPro-Klasse. Christer Joens pilotierte den #59 McLaren 570S GT4 auf einen P2 in der GT4-Klasse. Am Samstag ging es ähnlich weiter. #69 belegte in der AM-Klasse den dritten Platz, wobei #59 die GT4-Klasse gewann. Am Sonntag setzte sich unsere gute Performance mit einem weiteren Sieg für Christer in seinem McLaren 570 GT4 und einem fantastischen P3 für Brad und Klaus in der GT3-Klasse fort, zusammen mit einem weiteren Sieg in der SemiPro-Klasse, um das Wochenende abzurunden. A quick look at the racing record book reveals that Porsches have won the 24 Hours of Le Mans outright a grand total of nineteen times, with a small asterisk behind two of those victories, as the wins in 1996 and 1997 were achieved by a car that was not built in Weissach, Germany, but rather in Valparaiso, Indiana. Maybe a second asterisk is also warranted, as the basic design of the Porsche TWR WSC95 can be directly traced back to the Jaguar XJR-14 Group C car of 1991. Great race for PC2 WEC at @cota_official . LMP1 was pretty much decided when @hezz0 and @racing.at.midnight collided. With takumi over a minute behind @2019mustanggt500 had an easy cruise to victory. Takumi recovered to 2nd ahead of @lly0005_rp . In GTE it was a good fight between me and @hezz0 . This is Ferrari FXX-K Evo #79 finished in Traffic White with Light Blue Sport accents. This particular car, chassis number #216456, started it’s life in one of the most unique specifications. It was finished in Matt Black with pink accents and wore numbers #66 before being upgraded and respecified by the factory. The previous owner, Simon Yin, also owns in matching specification; Pagani Zonda 760 JC #76127, Koenigsegg One:1 #7108 and many other hypercars. He tracked the car twice in 2016 (Shanghai and Hockenheimring) and once in 2017 (Shanghai). This FXX-K was then converted to an Evo and bought by its current owner through @apcorse. It was first seen in the current configuration November 12th during a private track day at Slovakiaring.
